I would like to know what it was like to live in a pre-9/11 world...

At every anniversary, I always think the same thing. I was barely old enough to understand what was going on that day. Almost all of my teenage years were spent at war under the Bush regime.

No matter how hard I try, I can barely remember a time when we weren't involved in some sort of conflict.

It would be nice if I could some day experience a somewhat peaceful US. I just want to be able look at the news and not have to read about US casualties or suicide bombers.

Maybe it's always been like this and I'm just too young to know any better. It just feels like something's out of place.

My little Marxist fiend, it was like this before 9-11 the world loved us and all was rainbows and lollipops. Then W was sworn in office after he stole the election from Al Gore. From that moment on every nation on earth hated us. Bush's first act was to sign an Executive order to kill off all unicorns, the dodo bird, and make MTV quit playing music videos. Now Obama is frantically trying to return to the days of lollipops and rainbows but us evil racist, nazi, homophobes are keeping that from happening.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

This imbecile always has the harshest terms for conservatives yet his scope of experience with the left is just about ZERO. He, by his own admissions, does not remember Clinton and all the 'conflicts' under him, nor does he realize there were other attempts on the WTC apparently. Yet, he is smarter then all the grown ups who claim to be conservatives. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Now, how do I answer armyowalgreens question?

Before 9/11, we, like you for the most part, were fat, dumb and happy. After 9/11, unlike you and your friends, we became much wiser about the Islamic threat. We're now fat, wiser and still happy while you and your friends become fatter, dumber and unhappier.

Bush kepted us safe from harm for 7 1/2 years....let's see how long "The One" can do it. I'm betting 2 years max.

I'm thinking that we should put the over/under in months.  I'll say . . . 32.  Not sure if al Qaida wants to see 140+ Democrat House seats switch to the Republican side in little over a year.

You need to start out much slower.  Try wanting to know what it's like to be an intelligent human being first.  At this point, you're still miles and miles away from even knowing that.

So you want to know what a pre 9/11 world was like? Well any self respecting human with an IQ above frozen water would probably go find a good histroy book but since you obviously failed at that this is what it was like back in the day. You probably never heard of it but there was afar worse war back in the late 1950's and all through the 1960's and 70's called the Vietnam war. It was started by some communist that wanted to take over the entire country. A Democrat named Kennedy sent troops over as ad visors first then later on as the war dragged on and more troops were sent it became our war. The North was the ones fighting for Communism, the side you would probably cheer on. After Kennedy was killed another liberal Democrat named Johnson sent additional troops to fight . while fighting this war those same troops were told they couldn't chase the enemy across borders and engage them in certain other places(Starting to sound familiar yet?) . The Air Force  and Navy had even more restrictive ROE's to follow. Those ROE's killed alot more of our people then theirs.

When Nixon got into office it was such a goat**** to try and fight that win that most troops moral was lower then a snakes ass in wagon rut. Nixon was hamstrung by a Congress that had by that time decided that the war wasn't worth fighting for That same Congress was ruled by a majority of .........Democrats. (Getting familiar yet?) the same party that called for peace and an end to the war finally did managed to get it but it cost 58,000 Americans their lives and many more wounded. It also killed millions of innocent people in Vietnam and Cambodia and Laos. That was after Vietnam fell and Cambodia not long after.

Then after a few years of Jerry Ford we got Jimmy Carter another failure of a Democrat President. He not only managed to bollocks up the entire economy but he also failed to deal with the hostage taking of some Americans in Iran after they over through the Shah. Those people were stuck there for 444 days. It wasn't until Ronalad Reagan that we got those people back and that was after Jimmy the Peanut screwed the pooch trying to "Rescue" them  following the same footsteps as another Dem President named Johnson by running the Military from the White House and not the Pentagon.

Yes even when Reagan was in Office we had some trouble with Muslims and had to invade Grenada to rescue Americans there but unlike the the Previous conflicts we actually won those battles. We actually supported the military and let them run the show. A big difference from when Johnson was in charge and SAC couldn't even bomb an outhouse with out permission from the White House. So you see a pattern here yet skippy?

After Regan and then Bush one we found ourselves in another war called Desert Storm. It wasn't long but again we let the Pentagon and the military fight that one and we won that won less then half a year. Then we get to BJ Bill Clinton. Like the previous Dem Presidents He couldn't stay out of the way of the military and cut their funding while some Muslims went looking for a way to start a war with us. After Somalia we lost two embassies.Had a Navy Ship attacked and the first WTC attack. All of which amounted to lots of yammering by BJ Bill and not alot of action. His ignoring the fact that we had been attacked  had finally led up to what we call 9/11 I realize that this is very glossed over but if you haven't figured it out that at least since the 1960's that the last group of people that should be in charge is the Democrats then your kind of stupid can't be fixed  no matter what book you read.
