White House talking points blast Palin

Quote
A source sends on the talking points the White House is circulating to allies in advance of President Obama's speech, most of them reiterating familiar themes of momentum and security.

But the White House has also chosen specifically to focus on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and evidently to make her the face of the opposition, or to respond to her ability to project herself into the debate. She is the only Republican named in the talking points.

Here's that section:

On Gov. Palin's Attacks

Every non-partisan organization that has looked at her claims say they are false. And the ideas in her op-ed are both scary and risky. Eliminating Medicare and giving our seniors vouchers instead is a bad idea that we shouldn't adopt. ...

Sarah - 2 Obama - 0. Now his big speech is just going to be a reply to Sarah Palin's op-ed, she is toying with him like a cat with a dead mouse.

He's not exactly a dead mouse...yet.  He NEEDS to be challenged at every moment.  It needs to be done if we want him out in 012.    Palin

I'm liking her more and more.  She really freed herself up to criticize this administration by resigning as governor. It also helps when 0Bama has to go on the defensive against someone that has no vote in the matter being discussed.  Reminds me of 0Bama going after Rush.  The idiot doesn't see how weak it makes him and his ideals look when he has to defend them this way.  :cheersmate:

Exactly. The leader of the free world is devoting time in a nationally televised speech to attack the latest Facebook posting of a  mother of five from Alaska.

To be fair, she have an extensive Op/Ed article posted in the WSJ, which I posted in this forum already.  She slams the health care bills pretty good.  I can almost believe that her article will reach more people than 0Bama's speech tonight.

Yes of course, you are right I was getting mixed up there.

I suspect the ratings for Fox's dancing show will be higher than usual.  :-)

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

He attacked Hannity as well, looks like he has a new focus.  Karl Rove said it best...HIS inner circle should be attacking opposers, not HE himself, it brings down the level of the President....which is something we knew he would do anyway.
Rove and Cheney went after opposers...not Bush himself.  Someone hand Obummer the Presidential handbook...or nevermind..let him keep sinking.

Obama's kiddie crusaders just don't understand how to play rope-a-dope.

Even though Palin polls much lower than Obama I don't think this will work out as well as the WH is hoping.

Obama spent the entire summer calling average Americas with genuine concerns and "angry mob" rather than answering their questions (he can't). They know how they were dismissed and I'm sure they'll smell the same stench here.

I heart Sarah. Keep on drawing him out girl!!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
