Fox unlikely to air president's speech
« on: September 05, 2009, 01:38:07 PM »
Quote
President Obama’s televised primetime addresses are becoming a tougher sell to the broadcast networks than his sweeping health care reform has been to Middle America.

A day after news broke of the President’s plan to address a joint session of Congress on health care issues in primetime Wednesday, none of the Big Four networks have said it would carry the address live.

Among other things, the nets have been waiting to hear when the address will start, with sources indicating Thursday night that the White House was leaning toward 8 p.m.

After a brief honeymoon after Obama’s January inauguration, the broadcast networks have become increasingly frustrated by the frequency of his requests for primetime coverage. The pre-emptions wreak havoc on the networks’ schedules and cost millions of dollars in lost ad revenue.

Fox became the first network to break ranks in April by declining to carry the president’s news conference after reportedly losing as much as $6 million by moving “American Idol” in February to accommodate Obama’s second news conference.

Obama's address is being shunted to Fox News Channel.  Doesn't Keef come on at 8pm?  I'd be interested to see if MSNBC's ratings are higher for that day's broadcast than the usual "content" that Olbermann provides.

Is this Fox News, or the regular Fox channel that won't be airing it?

The regular Fox channel will not be covering it.  It will be on Fox News Channel.

Thanks for the clarification. I was under the assumption that FOXNews would'nt carry it. Anywho, I won't watch it. Although I might flip over to it a few times to see what Dear Leader is saying.

I think my oven needs cleaning.  Or my toilet.  Either one would be preferable.

Either way, doing those chores or watching Dingle Barry, you'll be up to your elbows in crap.

The physical crap will wash, the mental crap 0Bama spews is harder to clean, and the stench remains.

I'm more interested in hearing the propaganda fed to the children instead of his speech to congress.

I won't be watching it.  I just can't stand to listen to him speak for more then 30 seconds.  I don't know what it is, but it just drives me nuts.  I'm sure some DUmmies would just call it "racism".   :whatever:

You'll never see me as one of those token military personnel in his audience.

I'll be busy combing my back hair that night.

Agreed. I detest the man. I don't care what color he is, his message is Red. Why so many people adore him is beyond me. It must be the Cult of Personality like Hitler, but I don't see it. I've listened to a few of his speaches, and they're all hollow. If you read them they're a joke; Platitudes and moronic socialist pablum.
