I dont believe in most of these studies...while it's true apple shaped bodies will lead to greater risk of heart disease, they don't necessarily die sooner. Also, eating right doesn't give you a pass either..I remember the strict vegan, Paul McCartney's first wife, died young from Breast Cancer.
I say, eat fried foods and dessert and when you're number is up...you will feel comfort knowing you didn't pass up dessert.

One of my uncles who is in his late 80's, drinks daily, smokes and eats raw red meat...he has never had surgery and is still going strong.
