1. Me too!!!!
I am from North Carolina and sometimes I have had thoughts about writing Teddy before writing a letter to my own US Senators. I always envied the citizen of Massachusetts - you had (still have in Kerry) some great representation for you down in Washington.DC.
Never thought of that. Lurch, Dead Ted, Fudgepacker Frank..great job, Massholes!

4. And even tho' I've cried buckets of tears and watched
the Cortege, the Memorial, the Mass and the Graveside Tributes - I still can't get my head
around the fact that he is gone.
It's like - ok, that was so very sad, and what a fitting tribute to a great man, but wait until
he gets back to the floor of the Senate and starts kicking ass!
I cannot imagine the Senate without him, and even tho' I know it to be true, I cannot imagine
him gone.
Sorry, DUmmy jannyk.
He's not only merely dead, he's really most sincerely dead.
And now, a view of life and death from a godless heathen:

5. Something that helps me-
After I lost both of my cat brothers in the last two years, I spent a lot of time thinking about life, and death. And what happens.
I had some thoughts come to me that could be religious or engineering/physics based. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. We are energy, essentially. Blah, blah, more heathen blah.
Sorry, DUmmy Gregorian, Dead Ted caused the Rainbow Bridge to collapse.
Now from the drunken DUmmy graywarrior:

9. It is really big.
All of a sudden, it's REALLY not about me anymore. 22 1/2 years of AA, and it took the death of an incredible man (another recovering alcoholic) to get my attention. And nothing anyone ever says against him, or us, or me will matter. It's all about helping other people and THAT is what will turn enemies into allies.
Sorry, DUmmy graywarrior, but it's well documented that Dead Ted was an enthusiastically practicing alcoholic.
