'We hate the United States': Secessionists rally in Texas (Get the **** out then!)

or some folks in Texas, the prospect of a universal health care scheme isn't just cause for protest and debate -- it's reason enough to secede from the United States altogether.

Some 200 people rallied at the State Capitol in Austin on Saturday, a small but vocal crowd that set itself in opposition to pro-health care reform protesters.

Larry Kilgore, a Christian activist that the Texas Observer says has advocated execution for homosexuals, "drew some murmurs of disapproval" when he told the crowd: “I hate that flag up there. ... I hate the United States government. … They’re an evil, corrupt government. They need to go. Sovereignty is not good enough. Secession is what we need!”

Hmm for 8 years they wanted the Blue states to separate from 'Jesus land" now succession is the craziest idea ever.  :whatever:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I wonder if the DUmmies realize that Texas produces 85% of the gasoline for the U.S.? We could exchange our seniors' Social Security, at least until it goes bankrupt, for not grinding their economy to a halt by refusing to sell them gasoline. If we did secede and set up a limited Constitutional Republic, ya know, like the United States is supposed to be, people would be flocking to the Lone Star State in droves.

Never demand that which you are incapable of taking by force, DUmmie.

Secession for Texas, IMO, is a last resort. I would rather see our country returned to the people, run BY the people and our Government working FOR the people. Furthermore, I've heard rumblings of the Texas secessionist movement for quite a while, but I haven't seen or read of any significant movement to make that happen.

I agree it's a last resort, but we seem to be running out of other resorts to resort to. And I believe we're gonna see government of the Øbamessiah, by the Øbamessiah and for the Øbamessiah before we get back to anything even remotely resembling something like what the founders framed.

Kinda sad, isn't it.

  • All in all, not bad, not bad at all
Texas will never be able to secede after ACORN finishes registering all the Mexicans to vote.
It's possible tha Kenyan will carry Texas in 2012.

Isn't it sad that all of this secessionist talk would cease if the Damn 10th Amendment was actually FOLLOWED AND RESPECTED? If not, ****it, let's break up. There is no other way. Either we respect the 10th, or we split.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
