MIJN GOD! The Kennedy Family has gone through hell and back again!
I mean - besides JFK and RFK's deaths... You've got...
* four aircraft crashes (Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Kathleen Kennedy, Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy, and John F. Kennedy, Jr.)
* a fatal skiing accident (Michael LeMoyne Kennedy)
* a fatal drug overdose (David Anthony Kennedy)
* a failed prefrontal lobotomy on Rose Marie Kennedy, carried out in the hope of calming the young woman's violent outbursts but resulting in severe mental retardation.
Add to that EMK's kid's leg cancer. and another Kennedy's being Bi-Polar (not sure the name - I apologize)
They may have had cash - but there are some serious tragedies there...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6421553Well, for one who places trust in the word of God, and does not believe in pagan bullshit like "karma",
the alternative possibility is that we are seeing the wrath of a just God being brought to bear on a family
of contemptible people.
Besides, were it not for all those tragedies, we'd be more overrun with Kennedys than we already are.

1. Kara's cancer
And I really don't know what all routine illnesses of Bobby's kids.
And then there's Michael Skakel and the other seedier problems.
I don't know how they keep getting up and carrying on, I really don't.

4. True
I've had it pretty good actually, as has my family
On my dad's side there have been some tragedies - but nothing near theirs
On my mom's side it's been OK.
Thank goodness, DUmmy Taverner's maternal ancestors have had it easy.
Oh..wait.., no one cares, DUmmy Taverner.

5. Several of the tragedies were due to Kennedy reckless behavior
and WWII. Large families over several generations usually seem to be hit hard
hit hard because of the numbers.
The Kennedy's had some nasty problems but so does everyone else.
Uh oh!! DUmmy virgogal has implied that Kennedys are mortal humans!
That is an unforgiveable sin at the DUmp.

7. No one here has ever said that another's tragedy outweighs all others...
but the truth for today is that a good man, a caring man, a compassionate american who
cared about us instead of simply his close friends was lost to us...people are mourning if
you don't like the way that they are doing such in how they are expressing themselves that
today is surely not your day to be a du perhaps in a couple of days you will find it more to
your liking...

8. Reckless behavior?! Is that how you classify volunteering for
a dangerous mission during wartime. To me that is courage and heroism. Politic
assassinations--maybe you consider seeking political office reckless behavior.
I'm glad the Kennedy brothers held a different view. Maybe if a Kennedy who was a heavy
smoker developed lung cancer that I would consider risky behavior as a cause but bone
cancer in a robust young boy?
The Kennedy family suffered more than its share of tragedy. It is a pity you can't see it.
Nope, sorry DUmmy quillernumber, but the Kennedy family has suffered exactly its share
of tragedy, not one ounce more or less.
