Convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido, 58, is being held on suspicion of various kidnapping and sex charges relating to the disappearance of Miss Dugard, who was aged 11 when she was snatched from her school bus stop in 1991.
Mr Garrido, gave a bizarre and sometimes incoherent phone interview to KCRA-TV from the El Dorado County jail.
 
According to investigators Mr Garrido allegedly raped Miss Dugard and fathered two children with her, the first when she was about 14. Along with Miss Dugard, who is now 29, the children, both girls now 11 and 15, were also kept hidden away from the world in the backyard compound of the Garrido house in California.
In the interview, Mr Garrido he said he had not admitted to the kidnapping and that he had turned his life around since the birth of his first daughter 15 years ago.
"Wait until you hear the story of what took place at this house," Mr Garrido said.
"You are going to be completely impressed. It's a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning. But I turned my life completely around and to be able to understand that, you have to start there.
"You're going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, the victim - you wait. If you take this a step at a time, you're going to fall over backwards and in the end, you're going to find the most powerful heart-warming story." ...

With any kind of luck, this guy will off himself and spare us the trouble and expense of trying him before frying him.

He's sitting in jail and it's extremely doubtful the judge will grant bail, so maybe he can somehow fall down a long flight of stairs. Tax money going to support this scumbag is tainted money.

I would love to read about this from the view point of the wife,Who is she, where is she from, how did she meet and marry her husband,

How did she interact with the young girl, how did she interact with the new baby's as they came.

Then did she the captive mother  out of jealousy turn the captors into the police when she found out the father of her girls was now hitting on them.?

Such  EVIL and I bet no one involved have any idea that what they were all doing was very wrong.

BS, they knew it was wrong or they wouldn't have kept the girl and her two daughters locked away and hidden from everyone. Who gives a shit about the point of view of the wife, she is just as guilty.

The news (Fox) just said this morning that this Garrido asshole might be a serial killer that has escaped detection for a number of years.

This is the part I just cannot understand! How can you NOT at least look in the frikkin' backyard???? What story could this pervert possibly give to a LOE that would give him cause to just go away? In my book, that is impossible! Is this guy some kind of mind control freak? If not, these officers need to submit their resignations, post haste! They certainly are failing to protect the public, you know, what they were HIRED for!
