Obama's Plan to Desecrate 9/11

The Obama White House is behind a cynical, coldly calculated political effort to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry.

This effort to reshape the American psyche has nothing to do with healing the nation and everything to do with easing the nation along in the ongoing radical transformation of America that President Obama promised during last year's election campaign. The president signed into law a measure in April that designated Sept. 11 as a National Day of Service, but it's not likely many lawmakers thought this meant that day was going to be turned into a celebration of ethanol, carbon emission controls, and radical community organizing.

The administration's plans were outlined in an Aug. 11 White House-sponsored teleconference call run by Obama ally Lennox Yearwood, president of the Hip Hop Caucus, and Liv Havstad, the group's senior vice president of strategic partnerships and programs.

Yearwood, who uses the honorific "Reverend" before his name, has been in the news in recent years, usually for getting arrested. After Democrats took back Congress, the rowdy activist was handcuffed outside a congressional hearing in September 2007 when Gen. David Petraeus was to testify. Yearwood told the "Democracy Now" radio program that he wanted to attend the hearing to hear Petraeus give his report. "I knew that when officers lie, soldiers die," he said.

On the Aug. 11 call, Yearwood and other leaders kept saying repeatedly that they wanted 9/11 to be used for something "positive," "forward-leaning," and "productive," said a source with knowledge of the teleconference.

The plan is to turn a "day of fear" that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left. In other words, nihilistic liberals are planning to drain 9/11 of all meaning.

That was a day I wish I could forget....

I was working for a trucking company at the time, and going thru a difficult personal time as well.
I spent a hour in lockdown at a chemical plant in Institute, WV, because a small plane with a bad radio was trying to land, and the airports were shut down.  This plant produced the same chemical (MIC, methyl isocyanate) that killed over 2000 people in Bopaul, India several years prior.

I feared that I might die there, 150 miles from my home, away from my wife and family, and they would not know how much I truly loved them.

Turns out, as far as the wife was concerned, it didn't matter....
but that's a story for another day....

 :bird: Obama. I lived right outside of D.C. that day and saw the smoke coming from the Pentagon. I was supposed to be at work that day in Dupoint but I was sick with the flu, otherwise I would have been stuck downtown with hell breaking loose with the Metro shut down. I will never forget seeing the faces in the one of the towers right before they fell. I will never forget the tears of the families for their lost loved ones that will never come home. I will never forget that one day we were neither lefty nor righty, we were one, we were Americans. Trust the damn liberals to cheapen that memory and make about their bullshit causes.  :banghead:

Generations have lived on our land in safety from foreigners, Home grown terrorists we know and fear as they are one of us,

When an attack comes from a foreign country we freeze even our great- grand- parents never had to face this.

That phone call that woke you up 2,000 miles away screaming that our country was going to war was a mind melting thing.  No way, not conceivable to happend. This event forced us to gain new ways to live and think.

Irrespective of what Vesta just tried to say, which I don't know what......this is going to piss so many people off.  I'm going to commemorate 9/11 like I always do, with prayers and remembrance.  I'll go down to the Legion that night and talk to ancient soldiers.

I read this earlier today.  Shut down the page and walked away.  Just came back to see if it was still there, and it is.  My step-mom was at the Pentagon that day.  The ONE day a week she had meetings there.  I will never forget the anxiety that rippled across my entire family from coast to coast wondering about her fate, and ironically it was finally my mother in Montana that was able to make first contact. 

This day is for remembrance, prayer and reflection, and I will be honoring it as Karin is.

Thank you.  I might not have been clear in the previous post.  What I was trying to say was that my Mother in Montana was the one who was able to contact my Step-Mother, via my step-mother's parent's in Maine.

My Step-Mother is still among the living, thankfully, she had entered the OTHER side of the Pentagon. 

But regardless of that, we all (well, all Americans) experienced a loss that day, whether we knew a victim personally or not, and for that we should all be remembering on that day.  NOT participating in some contrived socialist BS.

9/11 really affected people on the East Coast as it affected the area. 9/11 is really a national and international tragedy. Sadly, more than 3,000 people will die from 9/11 because of all the exposure to dust, smoke, and toxic chemicals. It could be as well be 10,000 dead as initially feared on that fateful day.
