My baby's bithday today.  He's 9, and starts 4th grade next week.   Thinking back 9 years....I was in about 36 hours in the hopsital, in "labor" after an induction that didn't want to "take"...things finally started happening about 9 am, and boom, he was born at 11:56.

Today will be HIS day...he wants pancakes and bacon and peaches for breakfast, and then we are going to a place to drive go-carts, putt putt and water slides.    Opening ceremonies for football is tonight, too  (first game tomorrow).

Happy Birthday to my mancub!  :cheersmate:

Awww, very cool Flame! Happy Birthday to you boy! I have a 9 year old too, but with his autism, he is only going into 3rd this year. Very cool age though, isn't it?  :cheersmate:

I'm one kid light, the girlchild is over at her aunt's house and it's gloomy here today so I'm taking my fellas to a movie later on since I have all the schoolwork caught up :hyper: Looking forward to having a day with my boys!

Awww!! Happy Birthday little Flame!! that is a fun age too. Mine turns 12 in Oct. He's small for his age and so full of personality. He's the life of the party and whip smart. I love the stuffins out of that kid. :-)

You're such a good mom for taking him out for a special day!! I bet you guys will have so much fun!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Being a kid born in the summer was the best.
