Conservative Books

What are some of your favorites? I recently read Mark Steyn's America Alone. For anyone who hasn't read this, I highly recommend it. The statistics will shock even the most informed conservative, yet the author remains witty throughout.

What books do y'all recommend?

Just skip the chapter on religion.  It could make you put the whole book down.

For fiction, any of Clancy's books.

For non-fiction, The Federalist Papers.  Libs heads would explode if they actually read it.

Steyn's book is excellent. I was shocked too.

I'm getting Goldberg's Liberal Fascism this weekend.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Do you think he'll put out a sequel to "Teeth of the Tiger"?   I hope so!

Oh, and have you read any W.E.B Griffin?  He's good, too...I recommend "By Order of the President"

The Truth About Muhammad by Robert Spencer is the last one I read, but America Alone, is a favorite. (Mark Steyn's website is great)

Another favorite is Reagan, In His Own Hand.

Also read and loved everything by Ayn Rand. That's right. Everything. (and she is one wordy b****)  :-) (but a genius so one forgives)  :p
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

Next on my "to buy" list...

Exposing the Real Che Guevara
by Humberto Fontova
http://www.hfontova.com/
Quote
As Humberto Fontova reveals in this myth-shattering book, Che was actually a bloodthirsty executioner, a military bumbler, a coward, and a hypocrite. This biographical account proves it's no exaggeration to state that Che - who was captured and killed nearly forty years ago - was the godfather of modern terrorism.

Fontova discusses his new book on Hannity & Colmes...
