Whether you were on "this side" or "that side", when it is over, will man up and admit .........

.... you were right or wrong?

Some of us are crying doom and gloom and no public option.

Some of us are saying wait and see and there is every reason to believe things will change significantly.

One of these groups of us will be wrong.

Each of us is in one of these groups.

Will you man up?

I will.

1. It's unlikely people will agree about whether or not what's implemented is "good"

6. I'm simpy asking one question .......

.... if, when it is signed into law, will you, if you were wrong, admit it?

2. It's not hard to figure out which side is wrong. When you look at history and the present day situations which perform like a lab experiment, we already know what works and what doesn't. So to champion what doesn't work is either stupid or it is feathering ones own nest at the expense of the majority IMHO.

7. The question is not who was right or wrong .....

.... the question is .... will those who were wrong admit they were?

10. I doubt it. They still go on and make the same mistakes over and over again so why should anything change?

3. Nothing being said now counts - it's all meaningless. Written on water.

There's no bill, just a draft. And there are committees to go through, and the House, and the Senate.

So, all the lamentations, one way or the other, are just vocal exercises, or typing practice.

It's not ripe yet, so anyone can say anything, but it doesn't count.

5. Single payer HR676 is finished being written and it gets a debate and floor vote in Sept.

I'm supporting HR676

4. As Obama said - we can't come up with a perfect option that requires no money

So people who want free health care for all will be disappointed - someone has to pay - many someones.

8. The question is not about that. The question is ......

.... when it is all said and done, and it turns out that your prediction was wrong, will you admit it?

That has nothing whatever to do with what you predicted. It has to do only with whether you can admit you were wrong.

9. Obama is wrong. Single payer would save us money instead of requiring we spend more money.

The CBO is scoring it and it should be out soon enough.

I look forward to seeing it.

11. I will, too.

I predict that there will be no public option of any value. Anyone reading this is free to rub my nose in it if I am wrong.

I sincerely hope that they get the opportunity to do so.

I don't have to wait until it's over, I can do it now.

Stinky, you're wrong.

Your turn to admit you're wrong, Stinky.

Of course, by not mentioning who "they" are, it is left wide open to interpretation who "already know(s) what works and what doesn't", and as to who "is stupid" and will continue to "make the same mistakes over and over".  I will say that she(?) is correct, history does show "what works and what doesn't", that she "is stupid", and that she will continue to "make the same mistakes over and over".  I know, not really going out on a limb there, more like walking down the sidewalk in terms of riskiness.
