I'm at a coffee with the congressman and these teabaggers are nuts
Congressman Cleaver (MO 5th) has a once monthly coffee where he meets one on one with constituents. The place is packed with racist teabaggers. They are chanting 'Read the Bill' and 'Just Say No'. They are also angry that Cleaver isn't speaking to the crowd. But he is doing what he does once a month. It's kinda funny.
The guy behind me is going on and on about the evils of socialized medicine. And he claims he was on welfare as a child. I just told him he looks healthy enough so my tax dollars obviously kept you healthy as you were growing up.
They keep chanting and we out chant them every time. I am standing here with a bunch of union thugs and we are surrounding Cleaver as he talks to each constituent. Please forgive any spelling errors as I am being shoved from behind.
One lunatic just told us he pays $6000 a month for insurance and has already refused Medicare.
But my favorite is the lady who is at least 75, maybe 80, and her sign says 'Keep Government Out Of My Health Care'. I stood next to her for as long as I could stand it and heard at least 6 people ask her if she had refused Medicare. LOL She never responded.
Took lots of pictures. Will post later.

wonder what would happen if anyone suggested that medicare be shut down and these folks be put in private health care with the premiums to match.

6. Maybe we should make up a "Medicare Cancellation" form for them to sign at these protests.
A twist on the enlistment forms that chicken-hawks can't stand.
I dunno. I'd sign one of those cancellation forms in a heart-beat, if it made me exempt from paying taxes to support Medicare, too. Fair is fair.

3. Yeah you'd think that if the lady had any principles at all she's refuse Medicare and her SSI check. I'd love to see pics.
Well now, here's an interesting situation.
The dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher is always spouting off against "capitalism."
The dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher is near retirement age, when she begins to start collecting a rather hefty teacher's pension.
The dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher's pension plan is sustained by capitalistic investments.
Because she's against capitalism, if the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher had any principles at all, she'd turn down her pension.
Fat chance.

5. Please don't refer to union members as thugs.
I know you were just joking but we don't want to give the r's any ammunition.
