Woohoo! It's Friday!
« on: August 07, 2009, 08:40:24 AM »
And there is NO football practice tonight.  Still have baseball, but no football...yay!   Extra kids around today...don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to that!

Gonna get some stuff done aorund the house today, and that's about it.

Anyone have anything exciting planned for this weekend?

I has da flu.  I will spend the weekend on the sofa trying to keep my head from assploding.   :bawl:

WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! Man, it's been a week from hell at work. Full moon, boss pretending to be on vacation (he can't put the Crackberry down or stop calling me) and it's been rainy/muggy.

I can't wait for the weekend!! My little guy is still out of town on summer break and he comes home in 10 days. I miss him but kinda like the peace and quiet too.  :uhsure: :-)
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Reserves.  Still, I'm glad this week is over, even if I don't really get a real day off for another seven days.

I kinda have a day off today, but I still have to go to mandatory unit PT, so it's not really a day off.  Then I go to work tomorrow, but have Sunday and Monday off.

I don't remember what it's like to have a regular schedule.

Wondering if I'll 1--get out of here on time today, 2--work tomorrow.  So far, so good, but I'm not counting on anything until I've given back the switchyard clearance and pulled tags on my way out the gate.

But I do have to work tonight, and even if I have tomorrow off, I've still got yard/housework.

My work is just starting for the week. I have to put a couple of briskets in the smoker, go to Sam's Club for the VFW and get everything ready for the district meeting at my post this weekend. Tons of work and only a handful of volunteers.

Delivered my 2008 taxes to the accountant this morning....was up most of the night gathering all the info( and cleaning up my office as I went along)...good news is, that I have 2009 already organized....now I just need to stay organized the rest of the year.   :thatsright:

Sunshiny out and after I finish some stuff in a bit, am going to lay in the pool...and nap!

A friend's daughter is getting married the 5th, and another friend and I are helping do the wedding (the girl is getting married at home) and we are having a bridal luncheon here on the 4th....so we have some serious planning to get done. The wedding's been scheduled to be on the 4th at a state park, and just got moved around this week. Bride's parents are hoping the wedding gets cancelled and the groom's are pushing it....makes for some interesting personality dynamics..... :o :o :o

Nuclear Friday strikes again.  Staying late in order to declare RTU "partially operable" and we can clear tags (of which I am one of three people who can and you need two).  Just called card room to tell them I won't be dealing tonight.
