stupid, ignorant and pathetic to perceive this obvious truth about our president.

G.W. Bush simply permitted himself to be exploited by smarter individuals who represent a philosophy. We call them Neocons. They found a proper puppet. Bush's job is to fulfill the role of being a blank slate--a defective child in a man's body--which he has done perfectly well.

It is an insult to the intelligence of every single rational, clear-thinking and perceptive individual here at DU to argue, or even suggest, that George W. Bush is some intellectual giant beyond our humble, deficient ability to perceive it. He is now well on his way to going down in history as the absolute worst, most incompetent, president in the entire history of this nation. He is despised worldwide. All his legislation will be unfurled and consigned to the garbage can by our next president.

Any smart individual knows that the dumbest thing of all is to make enemies unnecessarily. Bush flunks even at that level of "strategic" thinking.

He has not done one thing that I can argue is the sign of an intelligent, brilliant, secretly devious leader. He's a first-class ****-up, and it's better just to lay it on the line and say that, then to embarrass one's self by trying to argue that he is a devious genius.

GEORGE W. BUSH fantasized about accumulating power, and he got it through no fault of his own, and he has no CLUE WHAT TO DO WITH IT.

OTHERS TELL HIM WHAT TO DO WITH IT.

He will go to his grave not even knowing what opportunities he had and squandered.

...one might suspect that a poster opposing the "Bush is stupid" hypothesis, given his amazingly low popularity and spectacular failures, THEN going on to claim that "No-none is saying he's brilliant", will have some other quality attributable to him accounting for the phenomenal extremities of his tenure.

What is it then? Sheer bloody-mindedness? In my book that equals STUPID.

Pure Evil? Guess what, in my book that also equals STUPID. (The world, quite observably, does not generally favour the wishes of evil people. (I know it looks to the angst-ridden very much as if it does, but it really doesn't.))

The idea that Bush is stupid isn't a "meme". ( :eyes: :grr: ****ing useless term anyway...) It's an appallingly obvious FACT.

Calling ideas "memes" just makes them *seem* questionable. I doesn't actually change their content, but it DOES muddy the water nicely around FACTS.

Tell it on the mountain, I say! He is bone stupid, a "deeply stupid little oil-spiv," a shrunken-headed, no-brained, mush-minded moron idiot who was born on third base and think he hit a triple. A simpering, sullen figurehead for an empty movement of violence and secrecy, where political ends are the only policies. He can't speak, he can't act, he can't understand anything that requires deep thought or subtlety. But by god, he can get up in front of a camera and read some words aloud and almost pretend he understands all the bullshit he's saying.

But fool me-can't get fooled again.

I think they are beginning to realize that President Bush isn`t going to be impeached or carted away to the hague and that for most of them their candidate (Kookcinich,Edwards,Biden,Gore) of choice isn`t in the race so that means half of that crowd has to accept their second choice won`t be either.

These are things that bring out the angry insolence in the child like maturity the primitives have achieved.
