DUmmy Orrex, a closet dittohead, has a dilemma that's fairly common at the DUmp. They want to post about something they heard on Rush's show, but it's not permissible for a DUmmy to listen to El Rushbo. So they have to use one lame explanation or another. Someone at work had the radio on at their desk, or they were in someone's car who had it on. They were nearly always forced by some freeper to listen, and hated every minute of it. In this case, DUmmy Orrex claims to have been lured into listening by a caller from his alma mater. (By the way, Penn State, like Michigan and Wisconsin, is a DUmmy school.)

I accidentally listened to Limbaugh for a few minutes this afternoon.
He took a call from an 82 year old man in State College, PA who expressed his wish to live another 18 years at least.
"Then you'd better hope that Obama's healthcare plan doesn't go through," warned the rotund demagogue.
In essence, Limbaugh is accusing Obama of killing senior citizens. Not surprising, to be honest.
However...
Limbaugh then addressed the matter of Ms. Trina Thompson, and I have to say that he was curiously deferential. I would have expected him to go after her with guns blazing, but instead he seemed inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt.
I have to say that I was stunned, given what we know of him. But then I had to wonder if there's a back-story I don't know about. Any guesses?
Why would Limbaugh not take issue with Ms. Thompson, considering how gleefully he attacks the so-called "entitlement mentality" which he claims to despise.
Note that I'm not commenting on the merits of her case; I'm just baffled as to why Limbaugh didn't rip into her.

In the second case, Trina Thompson is the lady who is suing a sleazy, phony college for the $70,000 she paid in tuition, a lawsuit she will almost certainly lose. But maybe Rush is just like everyone else in not defending a company whose business model is fraud. The plaintiff is so dumb she would have been fleeced by someone else if the fly-by-night college had not come along, but she may be a victim of fraud nonetheless.

12. Rush's reaction doesn't surprise me at all
The corporatist view of the lower classes going to college is to have more workers who don't ask too many questions.
They've been pushing the idea that colleges are for jobs only, to learn a skill, to find a niche.
What they're NOT pushing for is critical thinking. Anyone who has a Master's or higher is to be distrusted.
So a BA grad complaining about NOT getting an "approved" job is justified in the fat man's mind.
DUmmy Canuckistanian, who apparently has a master's degree in philosophy or recreation, is way off base here. We fully approve of DUmmies going to college for useless degrees.
They couldn't pass useful courses anyway, and their attendance makes tuition more affordable, so the children of decent and civilized people can become employable and grow up to vote Republican.
