Oh my.

One wonders if the gigolo-in-training primitive has found this place yet.

Probably not; the primitives never leave Skins's island.

It looks to me as if the gigolo-in-training primitive is trying to imitate the maudlin waif primitive who's trying to emulate the NanceGreggs idiot whor's trying to ape the Bostonian Drunkard.

Politics is not war.

Maybe I'm being naive. But to suggest that politics is some sort of violent conflict is really disturbing. The point of political discourse is to find a resolution to an issue. The best way to do that is to not view your opposing sides as the enemy that needs to be destroyed.

Are there some issues that demand a more aggressive approach? Absolutely. But to suggest that the entire world of politics is some sort of all out battle is ludicrous.

I've seen some really disturbing posts on here recently suggesting that it's okay to mock or attack someone because "politics is war." So it's okay to abandon our own moral high ground because, in war, anything goes.

This entire "wolfs on the prowl" mentality sounds very similar to the rhetoric coming from the previous administration.

Win at all costs. The ends justify the means.

I'm no moral absolutist. But I have my limits

2. Have fun getting killed.

The war attitude is a simple reaction to the Atwater/Rove politics of the right. John Kerry got killed because he wouldn't stoop to their level. So did Dukakis. You can't have a conversation with someone who's stabbing you to death.

6. There is a difference between agressively attacking the rhetoric of the right...and resorting to base reactions like mockery and populist rage.

Sorry, if I have to get that low in order to win, I don't want to win.

7. I think war is the break down of politics. Not the continuation.

5. If our political opponents treat politics as war we must respond in kind or be defeated. And that is a fact. The Democratic Party has been responding weakly to GOP aggression for far too long. This has damaged us. The American electorate simply is not sophisticated enough to appreciate the nuanced arguments made by media Democrats.

8. The reality is not that we are at war. It's that we are being taunted by an ignorant opponent.

I refuse to give into their mockery of the political system.

I sense that this DUmmy is in jeopardy of losing the offer of invaluable training at the knee of franksolich.
In which case DUmmy Mythsaje may have a second chance, provided he abandons his dream of writing the
great American paranormal sex crimes novel.

You know, I miss Pedro Picasso.

He's more more size.

The gigolo-in-training primitive and the maudlin waif primitive aren't nothing, compared with Pedro Picasso.

With those two, it's like the old days of Nebraska football, when Nebraska played Kansas.

If only the Dumbasses were not so scared of a weapon.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

If this DUmmy could only extend that concept from Republicans to, say, I don't know..... TERRORISTS?

He will never make that leap though.

How old is this guy? App how long has he been a DUmmie, if you know? It could be wishful thinking, but if he's even halfway normal, I wonder if he could be having his eyes opened by the fetid atmosphere at the DUmp? Perhaps  a second sniff at the stench from their hypocritical moral relativism could, if he's young enough and has enough independence of thought, lead him to question not only the tone but the actual foundation (such as it is) upon which their whole twisted worldview rests?

But not if he's already a long-time denizen of the island. In that case, it's just weariness.

He's a kid about 19 years old. Lives in a house with a bunch of other hippies. Going to school for some useless degree, piling up debt.

Speaking of, as I don't want to get out the boat, any other primitive now trying to emulate my protege, the gigolo-in-training primitive?

I really like that line, "the gigolo-in-training primitive is trying to imitate the maudlin waif primitive who's trying to emulate the NanceGreggs idiot who's trying to ape the Bostonian Drunkard," and have plans for extending it.

Works waiting tables at a Village Inn in the Phoenix area, oftentimes mistaken for an attorney.

That one's going to be difficult to extend. DUmmy Pitt seems to be shooting for a hybridization of Jason Leopold, Crazy Guggenheim, Jon Voight's queer prostitute character in Midnight Cowboy, and Otis Campbell. Gonna be tough to boil that down to a single characterization.
