25 days left 'til school starts!  What's everyone up to today?

I think this is the first full weekend we've has in MONTHs where there is no sports practice/game of any kind.  Not quite sure how to act!   The only thing scheduled for today is a massive trip to the grocery store, and hopefully some laundry!

My goal is to do as little as possible today.  It rained like hell yesterday, so the lawn is still too wet to mow.  Maybe tomorrow before it rains in the afternoon.  75 right now, predicted high of 85.  Woot!

Just a little BBQ action of burgers today, maybe chicken tomorrow.  Many beers will again die at (or is that in?) my hand.

Cripes almighty.  Where did the summer go...

My August is starting out just craptastic. Long story.

July blew camels though.

Well, I looked at the tomato plants that are out in the window boxes I have on the patio railing.  They've got that damned late blight.  However, unlike other people, I've been able to get some tomatoes off of the plants.  (It helps to get them at the end of April.)  I've got another 25 or so on the vines.  I tried to control the blight, but I started too late.  Part of the effin' problem is the weather patterns we've been having.

Later on, when The Heiress wakes up from her midmorning nap, we'll go to the pool here in the complex.  Our daughter absolutely loves the water.  We're going to check into swimming lessons for her.  Thing is, she's not even two years old yet.

Update:  The Heiress has woken up, as my lovely wife and I were shuttling laundry through the washer and dryer.  The Heiress is complaining about something about lunch (my wife just fed her), and just now burped.  She's kinda proud of the oral emanation.   ::)  Just like her father . . .  :uhsure:

Today is all about chores and just getting stuff done. Laundry, clean the bathroom, balance my "checkbook" and pay some bills, straighten up the apartment, do some more decluttering, grocery shop, etc.

I've got a long list but am hoping to complete at least three projects. Then I will feel accomplished.

I was going to go to church tonight but I don't want to feel hurt when my sister doesn't come again (she's not talking to me) so I think I'm just going to relax at home and watch some Netflix instead.

I'm back at work.  Again.  This is turning into a bad joke... its like Groundhog Day except I'm stuck at my desk the entire time.

Chores, chores and more chores! I have been really busy at work this past couple of weeks and so 'stuff' to do is piling up. Now the evening is here I am treating myself to a salad mostly from my garden I have the last of the lollo rosso, the earliest tomatoes, cucumber and herbs (the rest of the ingredients I bought).

Not really doing much today, though I should be.  Have to get up about 3 a.m. to do something with the Reserves but on the plus side I should be home around lunchtime.

Spent a couple of mindless hours by the pool this afternoon enjoying a partially sunny afternoon.

Melted the green off....but since it's to start again sometime tonight and through tomorrow with accumulation around 2 inches...I'm thinking I'll be turning a bit green again by Monday. In the 26 years that I have lived here....I don't think we've had a wetter/cooler July.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

Worked my 12 hour shift, and it was pleasantly cool for August 1. :)

Let my wife sleep in a bit for a change, and handled the kid this morning.  Then I went to the local gaming store and played some wargames.  Now I'm watching the bestest Rocky ever.  Rocky 4 ftw.
