Now Ain't that something else.
I began to make out a list of my Lib. friends to send the link to that were gun-ho for national health care ,but. darn it all , I know of no one that is in favor of it.
Perhaps I need to get out more to listen to both sides of the story. I have been watching the papers for information when thousands of people will gather at the state capital to demand national care, I know it will happen just don't know when---I love a good riot---
Ever notice that number of retired military that get to keep their health care for themselves and dependents seldom use it if they can help it. They may go for blood tests or a broken leg but when it comes down to a heart bypass or kidney transplant, they find a civilian doctor if possible.
My mom goes to a military clinic for checkups and tests. She still drives at 87 years of age, has had those laser treatments to her eyes so at her age needs no glasses. Sigh;;; wish the tax payers would pay for me to do the same.
Anyway, This poor woman was to have a cat scan of her throat and chest, something totally new to her. She arrived early for her test, 9 AM and waited 3 hours to be seen, she said she read everything she could get her hands on. Once she was finally called she was asked when she had drank the the chalky stuff. Surprise!!!!!!!!! she had never been told she had to drink anything much less given anything to take.
Clerical error, so sorry. So she was given the dose and had to sit another 2 hours for the test that scared the willeys out of her.
Then after all this the poor old lady drove herself home without running over people or property.
This was the very first time she had in 65+ years she had ever received care this sloppy since she married my dad and spent the rest of her life under military care.
She never believed me when I would complain, she was still in her early 50's and never had a problem. Now she is very old and knows when she is given the bum's rush out the door.
She called to warn me that as I am getting older this too will happen to me. Soylent Green.
So who is to fear, children born too soon, older folk that refuse to die due to their healthy life style ?
