Now, nobody can really be 100% consistent, because of the pressures of real life, so this is meant in the sense of usually, when does one come here?
This is helpful stuff to know, because of its effect on morale.
I notice a lot of people will post something in the DUmpster in the morning, and get disappointed because there's little or no reaction to what they've said (I don't know if this is true of the other forums here, though).
But if those who are disappointed by little or no reaction come to the DUmpster in mid-evening, for example, they see that, ooops, a lot of people did get involved.
This is because (at least in regards to the DUmpster) most traffic appears to come during the late afternoon and early evening.
And so those who post early should not lose heart; they should just post, sit back, relax, get mellow, with the confidence that their posts and comments will garner reactions later on in the day.
There are very few topics posted in the DUmpster that have "0" comments; reader reactions inevitably come. How fast they come depends upon the time of the day, but they do come.
