Couple of problems with her statement. She's a former social worker from Rochester. Yes, Rochester (aka, "Rottenchester" to those outside it) is more working-class than other places. It's not as "elite" (read: snobbish) as Portsmouth or Dover. It's more working-class.
Despite all this, NH household income is among the highest in the US. We have the lowest poverty rate in the US. Our unemployment rate, although rising like everyone else's lately, is still 3 points below the national average. Can we do better? Sure. But lack of health care? Try again, Carol. It's lack of health INSURANCE. Some people don't get it for a myriad of reasons, Carol. But to say you'll be "pulled out of line"? Not here--maybe in Canada or Great Britian, but not here.
She's as good as gone in 2010.
