Interesting story.  By watching that news report you would think it was absolute proof of reincarnation.

Here's the flip side:

Thoughts?

I go with skeptico. This has nothing to do with reincarnation.

I go with skeptico. This has nothing to do with reincarnation.

There has to be some reason to explain why civilisations that never mingled hold common beliefs.---Are our brains pre wired in some way that causes different cultures to arrive at the same conclusions.?

India and parts of Asia have people that can do what we consider the impossible through training the brain to control the body in strange and marvelous ways.

Then we hear about a child in China that at age 3 could play recognizable passages on the piano.

WE put this down to some folks have a talent, a calling, knack for what ever.  Then with little thought we mention that they may have inherited the skill  or obsession from a great grand parent.

Strange how easy it is to believe a child can inherit a skill from all those generations of DNA but refuse to believe reincarnation from a stranger.

OK I bite, What does belief have to do with our brain processes.?

Explain hypnoses to me and how that works.

Then why is it that if one has no belief in a subject they lag behind those who do and experiment with it.?

No one really believes anything unless they can touch, feel, smell, hear and see it.

Any idea what early pioneers in bacteria had to go through to get doctors to wash their hands .?

I see nothing on my skin, I feel nothing, smell nothing or hear nothing, but it is there in fact.

The fact that pertinent details like the boy's visit to the Air Museum were left out makes the reincarnation story much less believable.

Never mingled?  As all the people on Earth descended from Noah and his family, all civilizations began in the same place, with the same knowledge.  It's not really strange that they held common beliefs.

For proof of reincarnation, just look at the DUmmies, they were all dogs and cats in a previous life. They got used to being feed, housed and taken to the vet for shots without having to do a darn thing to earn it.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
