5. I think her hair is just pinned up. I don't think she cut it.

19. As a sistah myself. I know how they cut the nape of the neck and no way would it be cut so it would stick out like that.

It'd be cut really short...almost with a razor and brushed with a boar's hair brush to be smooth.

Why don't you believe me? I'm a black woman I live that shit.

In your opinion, does Michelle ever wear wigs? Just asking.

40. With her beautiful hair no. I've never seen her in a wig. Wigs are often really shiny and our hair isn't naturally shiny...like wigs are. She doesn't even have in wefts for a weave. She has what I call Oprah hair. I'm amazed @ her hair...because it is so hard not to pull on a wig or to put in a weave. I think she makes it a point to not wear wigs and weaves...she's making a statement.

I don't even thinks she gets the strong relaxers. It looks like she gets a mild relaxer and a bangin high heat blow out...which is where the body comes from. God, I gush when I see her hair. Hair in the black community is a crown that EVERYONE can wear. Hair is so important. I'm so proud to have her as First Lady because she looks good and her hair is always right on.

To keep her hair looking and moving like it does she MUST have a stylist on call 24/7. Our hair is WAY to difficult to manage. Too much heat breaks, not enough, nappy... if the hair too dry it breaks, too much oil or oil dress looks goopy and chunky.

I would love the opportunity to go to her stylist and learn how to take care of my hair. I gotta find out if he does classes. My hair sometimes makes me so depressed and embarrassed sometimes it hurts. Seeing Michelle gives me hope that I can do it too.

42. Are you sure about no weaves or other additions?

My lady friend is convinced that she as some subtle ones.

44. Weaves would chunk out. They don't fall naturally. I've never seen her have those chunks. Even on inauguration day, her hair didn't chunk out.

I have a weave, I get the closest real hair to match my NATURAL nappy ass texture. I pay over 250 bucks for 2 packs of hair and even when it is fresh and blown out after a few hours it would chunk up.

Plus you have to look @ her mom and her girls hair. It appears that good hair runs on BOTH sides of the family...

I'd be SHOCKED to find out if she had a few wefts in there. I wouldn't be disappointed though.

43. Thank you for expanding my understanding of hair very different from my own, sweets.

Can you and I make a deal? I'll stop moping around about my curly/frizzy red hair, and you stop being depressed about the beautiful AA woman hair the universe gave you? Your soul is beautiful. That's what counts, annit?

36. Heidi, just watch in the next few days, her hair will be un pinned and long again.

Plus in those photo links you sent me the back is kinda messy...you can tell it is pinned.

More at-length discussion about black women's hair, and then the Fat Che in the punchbowl pops up, unexpectedly:

Later on, they have to take a snark punch at Laura Bush, one of the most beautiful first ladies we've ever had.  Asshats.  I can do it back:  In Michelle's photo, that Aunt Esther underbite is decidedly pronounced.

As a male, I don't find Ma Kettle attractive.

Not ugly, but not attractive either.

Now, Condoleeza Rice is beautiful.

Speaking as a male.

ok, I'm sure this will get me labeled a racist by some, but if "black is where it's at" and being black is da bomb, why do black women want their hair to look like white folks' hair?

Good question, madam.

As a male, and therefore a good judge of feminine beauty, I've always found the most attractive women to be those women who accentuate their natural points, rather than trying to be "like someone else."

I can't say I find Michelle attractive, myself.  From what little I've seen of her actual personality by way of public appearances and stories from her working life, she seems rather unpleasant on the mind/heart/soul level.  Physically, her attributes are a combination of things I don't particularly care for that is almost uniquely unappealing to my eye.

Not that I look so great myself, but I don't have to put up with all the idiots in earshot gushing about me, or even look at myself except when shaving, and I'm only semi-conscious when I do that so it doesn't really count.  :-)

Paging Don Imus.....they said nappy!!!!

and I had to LOL at the "oprah hair" comment. Anyone who has watched three episodes of Teh Okra knows that's wig/weave.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

More proof that the leftists, particularly the far leftists, are the worst racists.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I have always found that to be quite hypocritical and racist on the part of blacks - that they would wear hair styles and colors and makeup that mimmics that of white people.

Quite so!
Additionally, she is a racist snob and should not be allowed to lick clean the floors of the White House let alone live there.
Now as for Condi Rice - she deserves to be there much more than the big zero and his wife's fat flabby ass.
