This Tangerine DUmmy shows up on nearly every thread at the DUmp. She must be working a half dozen computers at once, no small trick for someone of her advanced years. An indicator of her age is her service as a camp whore for Pancho Villa's band of merry men during their famous raid on Columbus, New Mexico. This of course, predated her better known dalliances, described earlier by franksolich. I'm not sure why, but it seems she's on the road to supplanting the lovely and elegant Clare Boothe Luce as the object of coach's affection. Could have something to do with her thinning, marcelled hair.

Trust me, the Rita Hayworth primitive is nothing near Clare Boothe Luce, when it comes to class, grace, style, manners, tastes, elegance, wit.

Not even close.

Incidentally, I always considered that the biggest flaw in the character of Lyndon Johnson; he thought too little of Clare Boothe Luce.

I'm not sure why the Rita Hayworth primitive has been spurred into so much action on Skins's island the last several months; in the past she had been mostly dormant, but now she's a beehive of action.

It's almost as if she's getting ready to embark on a journey, and is scurrying around trying to get a thousand and one things done, before she leaves.

Oh damn.

Major error.

My apologies, GOBUCKS.

Damn.

Damn.

I "modified" GOBUCK's orginal post.

I thought I was adding a comment, but I inadvertently modified instead.

Damn.

I have no idea how that happened, other than I obviously clicked on the wrong button.

My apologies, GOBUCKS.

In case anyone's wondering, the original post by GOBUCKS involved the greenbriar primitive boasting about the quality of her belches, and whining about her nephew-in-law spending too much time hanging around the house after helping her husband with some automotive mechanics.

And then one primitive chastised the greenbriar primitive for talking about people behind their backs.

To which the Rita Hayworth primitive said the anonymity of the internet made it NOT offensive, because people on the internet are (generally) anonymous.

That's what I remember of it.

Again, sorry, folks.

4. Finally he is gone

I fixed supper and said I wanted to feed him before he had to leave so his momma would know I was a good aunt.

Don't get me wrong, he is my nephew and I love him but he really does not have some social concepts down...

like personal space

adult conversation

taking cues about things

really he is more like an 8 year old in some respects

I feel sorry for him and want to protect him, but I also get my fill

5. Seriously, have you ever heard of the Golden Rule?

How would you feel if people trashed you behind your back on a public message board?

6. It's the Lounge: we're ALL subject to that treatment.

How often have you searched on your name or nick to see how your "friends" are treating you in cyberspace?

And just think how bad it would be if you could listen in on cell-calls, texts and even thoughts...

8. Anonymity negates the Golden Rule - and I mean that.

Scenarios presented here aren't "trashing people behind their backs." They're DUers who are asking for input on a specific problem.

Quick - tell me the name of the person offended by what was posted in the OP!

Quick - tell me where he lives!

Quick - tell me how you know him!

Quick - tell me the OP's real name and address!

See?

Anonymity lends a layer of protection, so your concern, which is quite touching and just a tiny bit scolding, can be at ease...........

And they apparently cannot spell out "husband" or "vegetables."   Why the hell is she telling the DUmp about her burps?  I don't recall this kind of stuff ever being brought up by one of us.  Nor our date nights.

So you can do what??  You're going to be on Skin's island complaining regardless of what he's doing.

Maybe she had to go to the sparkling husband primitive's dwelling area of her home in order to log in and post.

I get the impression her mind wanders easily, and that actually to post something takes her a long time.  She loses her flow of thought, and drifts.

I'm devastated. But, unlike coach's whiny protege, sitting at his thrift store dinette, water from his upstairs neighbor's leaky toilet occasionally dripping on his shoulder (no point in repairing that hole til the super takes care of the damn toilet), I will get over it.

I thought at first I was feeling coach's wrath for bringing up that nasty tale about DUmmy LaBamba on the U.S. - Mexico border. She was on our side, you know. The raid was never repeated due to the number of banditos she laid low with clap symptoms. Then, of course, the U.S. Army intervened.
