You know, the primitives are always talking about "organizing"--organizing a boycott, organizing a protest, organizing the masses, organizing the media, &c., &c., &c.
Organize, organize, organize, the primitives demand.
How about if the primitives were to first organize Skins's island?
My fellow alum Skins has kindly provided all sorts of forums for the specialized interests of the primitives, forums for everything from rural folk to morose gays to the mentally-ill to eBay sellers to literary interests to fatness to sports.
All these nice little forums.
But the primitives persisting in lighting bonfires in only "General Discussion."
I just checked the 45 most-recent bonfies in "General Discussion" on Skins's island, finding that 32 of them have a forum appropriate for their subject matter.
If that's the way it's going to be, I dunno why my fellow alum just doesn't do away with all the specialized forums, and have Skins's island be one great big "General Discussion."
Of course, we know how the primitives are; they want to hang around in a place where it's cool, hip, trendy, with it, to be seen, and to hang around with the cool primitives, which is "General Discussion."
Okay, one can't deal with the childishness of primitives, when it comes to organizing themselves, but there are remedial actions that the leadership of Skins's island can make, so as to put Skins's island in a more organized structure.
Such as moderators there moving threads from "General Discussion" to the more-appropriate forum.
I've noticed, for example, the past few weeks there's been three bonfires about the deaf and hard of hearing in "General Discussion," when the specific forum for the deaf and hard of hearing is clogged with killer cobwebs, no traffic at all, nothing there since May 5, which is now a very long time ago.
Ditto for the automotive forum, which begs for traffic, but gets virtually none, the primitives lighting bonfires about automobiles in "General Discussion" instead.
And issues of mental health--now, there's something that needs Roto-Rootered out of "General Discussion" and sent packing to the mental health forum.
As long as the primitives themselves aren't organized, I dunno why they demand that the real world, the world beyond the waters surrounding Skins's island, "organize."
It's all very silly.
