Today's letter to my senator
« on: July 21, 2009, 08:33:56 AM »
Dear Senator Nelson,

I listened to your president speak on health care reform yesterday.  EVERYTHING HE SAID, POINT BY POINT, WAS A BLATENT LIE!

He is a marxist, hell-bent on destroying this country.

Your choice is to stand up and represent those who hired you, particularly the seniors who will have their health care rationed and VOTE NOT ON THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL.  In addition IT IS TIME YOU SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT AND REPRESENT US, THOSE WHO HIRED YOU.

Either that or you too must be considered a marxist who is hell-bent on destroying our country and economy.  If that is your choice, you and all you staff members should plan on losing your job in 2012 and being swept out of office when the tide turns aginst the ill advised president.

It is time to put a stop to the Emmanual bullying tactics and do what is right for America, not his marxist agenda.

If you are not actively speaking out against the president, you are history.

I am glad you decided to contact your senator.

But do you mind a bit of constructive criticism? I think you should have used a more respectful tone. Your senator may be an ally; it would be a shame to alienate him with unduly harsh rhetoric.

BTW, did you know that Frank Solich lives in Nebraska?

What the hell does THIS statement have to do with the price of tea in China?  I'm beginning to agree with others...you certainly are smelling distinctly troll-like.

You don't pay attention much, do you?  Numbers lives in Florida, he's writing to Senator Bill Nelson(D) from that state, not Senator Ben Nelson(D) of Nebraska.

And I think anyone who spends more than 2 minutes reading a post from the coach knows he lives in Nebraska

Hi,

Thank you for your comments about Senator Nelson.  I have no respect for the man.  I wrote him and urged him to vote against the stimulus package.  He voted for it.  He then went on TV and said that 90% of the people who contacted his office were opposed to the plan, yet he voted for it.  He then had the audacity to send out an email and outline all the virtues of the stimulus package.  My response to him was Senator, in the words of Clark Gable, "Frankly I don't give a damn!" how you feel.  This is supposed to be a representative government, we hired him to represent us and he is not doing his job.  If 90% of the people who hired you are for or against a particular piece of legislation it is his job to represent us, not Pelosi, not BO, nor any other liberals personal agenda.  He is hired by the citizens of the state of FL to represent us.  Of course I got no response to that one.

No matter what the issue, one can email or write his office and you get the standard liberal moveondotorg answer.  He is not listening to those who hired them.  Any opinion of the sender, and I am also talking about many of my friends who write to him, has been totally ingored.

Any respect I may have had for the man is long gone.  I am normally a respectful person for the reason you mentioned.  There have been thousands of calls to Hannity, Beck and Limbaugh of folks voicing similar frustration to mine, our elected officials are not listening, they forget we are the boss, they work for us.  At this point, I have decided to fight like liberals do, we have to get idiots like him out of office, and I plan to do whatever it takes to get it done......legally.

Hope that clarifies the situation,

I didn't use as much finesse as you did, numbers.

Much to the dismay of our new troll, my letter to my Rep was very similar to this...

Dear Trent:

Tell Nancy to take that health care bill and shove it where no man dare go.
Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

:rotf:  Now don't hold back, tell her how you really feel!  Did you read the book "How to overcome shyness?"...

Like it or not, basically all of our literary work is reduced to a single line drawn on a tally sheet if they even keep them....

Sad really,

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

It does not anything to do with anything, that's why the "BTW" appended to the statement. I was just making polite chat. Try it sometime.

Polite chat my ass...you want polite chat go to the lounge. That's what the lounge is for.  "Chat" doesn't belong in politics.

That is a picture I could do very well without  :banghead:

Pelosi is my Rep, and as you can guess, she does not represent me very well.

My bad about the Nelsons. Sorry.
