Anger ahead when the fog clears on Obama's power grabs

At some point of embittering clarity, Americans will open their eyes to the glaring significance of the Obama era and see the Power Grab Years for what they are. Whether this realization comes in time to stave off the eradication of the United States as we thought we knew it, or whether it comes too late, I predict it will surely come. If it comes in time, the realization that the nation dodged history's bullet will produce massive waves of relief.

If it comes too late, the understanding of our fallen state will live on as the lost lore, not of a subject people exactly, but of a self-subjected people. That's because in this strange historical instance, the American people, beginning with but not limited to those of us who voted Barack Obama into the White House, seem to have agreed to shoulder the heavy, costly yoke of exponentially increasing government control of our lives. Make that exponentially increasing executive branch control of our lives -- even more alarming given the cult of President Obama's personality already evident.

With a rubberstamp Democratic Congress, it is the Obama White House that calls the shots, and it doesn't let dissenters forget it. As much as anything else this week, what cast me into this particular abyss of speculation was the stunning news that after Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., declared the Obama administration's stimulus spending plan ineffective and urged a halt to further stimulus spending, the White House dispatched four Cabinet secretaries -- Transportation's Ray LaHood, Agriculture's Tom Vilsack, Housing and Urban Development's Shaun Donovan, Interior's Ken Salazar -- to write letters to Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer enumerating every dime of federal monies that would no longer flow to her state if Sen. Kyl had his way.

As LaHood snarkily put it to Gov. Brewer, "If you prefer to forfeit the money we are making available to your state, as Senator Kyl suggests, please let me know." What did the White House expect the governor to do next?

Make Sen. Kyl an offer he couldn't refuse? Or, as Mark Steyn, detecting the whiff of extortion in the air, asked: "Why not just break his (Kyl's) legs in the Senate parking lot?" Muscular politicking on steroids is the Obama way, whether the administration is bullying Chrysler bond-holders, wresting control of the Census from the Commerce Department, or empowering, at last count, as many as 31 "czars" to oversee various aspects of federal policy, from Gitmo closure "czar" Daniel Fried to executive pay "czar" Kenneth Feinberg, many without Senate confirmation.

In explaining the full White House press on government-controlled health care, top Obama strategist David Axelrod could have been describing the Obama White House m.o. in general: "Ultimately, this is not about a process, it's about results." Which is just another way of saying the ends justify the means.

Hi,

I think this is wonderful news actually.  And when AZ declares it's sovereignty and secedes from the union then all hell will break loose.  One more nail in the coffin of the federal government.

Hi,

I sent the following out to several friends today.  I think the world is beginning to see that BO is a marxist hell-bent on destroying our country and using bullying tactics like Chavez to get it done.  We all better wake up or it will be too late to fix a lot of things he breaks.

Hi,

Something hit me last night as I watched the Glenn Beck show and it has really been bothering me.  I just finished watching a segment again to make sure I had it right.  I am passing along my thoughts to a select few for your consideration.

Beck started a segment last night about the fact that Citi Group is going to go bankrupt, wondering why all the banks get bailed out and yet Citi Group is not on the list for a bailout.  He then proceeds to say that they are something like the #4 bank in the country but the #1 bank in lending to small businesses in America.  He then quotes the president of the Small Business Association of America as saying that this will cause "An avalance of bankruptcies of small businesses throughout America."

He then brings in a regular guest, a black gentleman named Charles Payne who is the CEO of WSTREET.COM and asks him to explain the situation as he sees it.  His lead in question is why are they bailing out Wall Street but not bailing out Main Street, aren't small businesses responsible for most jobs and job creation?

His guest responds that 99.9% of the new jobs are being created by small businesses in America.  He then goes on and says, "I sincerely believe that the president has a real fixation about rich people, people becoming rich."

At that point Beck interrupts and says something to the effect, "Let me explain that, it means he is a Marxist" or words to that effect.  (Now this is me talking)  That hits me square in the eyes, like the writing of the Communist Manifesto, ummm Karl Marx.  The big dog commie guy!

He then goes back to Mr Payne for affirmation.  Payne pauses, realizing what was just said, and says something to the effect that "More of a voltaire socialist.  Bottom line is a sincere effort to not only go after people who are rich, but to dissuade people from becoming rich.  About the only way people in this country can become rich is being successful entrepenuers."(sp) He then goes on to say that by letting Citi Group fail that thousands of small business are indeed going to be left high and dry because they need capital and this is the number one bank that supplies it.

They then ponder why would you, in the middle of a depression, do what you can to destroy small business as they are the ones that can create jobs and help pull us out of this mess.

I am going to paraphrase Beck who then says that they are basically closing the door on the rich, not to let anyone else in and (he infers this) and eliminate the middle class, once again inferring marxism.

Now folks I have heard people grumble about the president, refer to his background, look at what is going on and mumble under their breath about how he is leading our country to socialism or worse but last night I heard the first real drum beat on national television.  It was the first time I can recall on TV hearing out loud the reference to Marxism and the president.

Now if one studies Sol Alinsky the founder of Acorn which was basically the only company BO ever worked for, looks at the beliefs of William Ayers who started BO's political career in his living room, and listens to Jeramiah Wright spewing the hate of the "Evil rich white man" being the cause of all the problems in America, you might just conclude that there is a communist bent and certainly a hatred for those who are successful.  That is the group that BO was immersed in before he came on to the national scene.  All were hell-bent on destroying capitalism and America as we know it today.

Now lets look at facts:

1.  The first bailout in the Bush administration was opposed by the bulk of the American people and passed anyway.  Democrats controlled congress and could have stopped it if they wished.

2.  Second bailout was opposed by the bulk of the American people and it passed, and it was pushed through in a hurry without being read.  Basically the democrat party ignored the citizens that hired them and passed it anyway.

3.  Government takes over the auto industry, again opposed by the bulk of Americans.

4.  Government takes over the banking industry, again opposed by most Americans.

5.  Federal Reserve given more power, yet any attempts to audit the agency have been thwarted.

6.  Constitution totally disregarded and the bulk of the auto makers awarded to the unions, not the stockholders and bondholders.

7.  Cap and trade, based on a totally false premise and those 30,000 scientists who oppose it are prohibited from appearing before congress.  Bill passed the house before it could be read.  This is nothing but a huge tax increase, will totally destroy many small business and take millions of dollars from the working class.  It will destroy jobs as many in the coal and petroleum industry will lose their jobs as their companies will have to go out of business.

8.  They now have a health care bill that is underfunded, even after they add a big tax on folks over $280,000, to the tune of $1.5 trillion over the next ten years.  It will also destroy the greatest health care system in the world, ration health care for seniors and they flat out lie to the public about any improvement in care or in savings.

9.  The health care bill must be passed, even if it is not read, before congress goes on recess in August.  It has been made quite clear that it must be done that way because when members of congress go home they are going to be innundated by their consittuents opposing the bill and (to use the words of Tom Daschle) it must be passed quickly before the public has time to mount opposition.

10.  Creation of several "czar" posts, not approved by congress like cabinet members to regulate salaries and most every activity in America.  Many filled by known socialists or worse.

11.  Outright disregard and disrespect for the military and apologizing to the world for our behavior.

12.  Total disregard of the public feelings about sealing the borders and sending those in this country illegally back to their home country.

My conclusion is this.  Just maybe those whispers and things muttered under the breath of some are more accurate than we realized at first.  I know the mainstream media will not blow the whistle, it will take a massive effort on each and every citizens part to innundate their particular members of congress to stop this insanity.  Then it will take a huge effort in upcoming elections because, by the time Acorn is done with the census, the voting districts will be so mucked up and illegals voting that it will be tough to stop.  Once the cap and trade and health care bills are passed, they will be almost impossible to reverse.  At the same time I do not think this is just the democrat party.  Many repbulicans are on board also.  Bush could have closed the border and didn't.  McCain was opposed to it as well.  Republicans should be speaking out yet it is only a select few and they are not screaming very loud either.  Looks to me like the citizens are going to have to do it and quickly.  Right now the largest political party happens to be "independents", both republican and democrat parties are losing members big time.  We may well see a third party emerge, likely they will be called the "Constitutional" party or something, with their mantra being going back to the constitution and those values.

I am truly scared.  I think I heard the first beat of the marxist drum, I hope we start to see and hear a lot more of them and the public wakes up quickly before it is too late.  This is a crisis, no doubt about it, but just not a health care crisis or an environmental crisis, but rather a constitutional crisis.

Not pretty if you ask me........

PS:  You can go to Glenn Beck's website and pull up video and audio of the program yesterday if you want to see it.

Sadly, most of the fools who voted for him will defend him to the end. I still meet people, who blame it all, even todays events, on Bush and Republicans.
