Saaaaaaaaaaaturday
« on: July 18, 2009, 11:28:35 AM »
High of 79 degrees here today.  That's my kind of globalwarming.

Mowing grass, pulling weeds, and new brakes on a truck are the order of the day.  Steaks for dinner tonight...as payment for the brake work.   :-)

Wassup peeps?

Good Morning!

Nothing too exciting here today.  I have some laundry, some cleaning to do, and I'm donating blood later today, so I'll probably end up taking a nap this afternoon (I always get really tired after donating blood.)  I might mow the lawn as well.

I also have to finish some knitting projects.  I'm knitting a sweater for my friends' baby, and his baptism is going come up faster than I expect, so I want to get it finished well in advance.

Yeah, I'd say that was a little warm.  It's below 80° here, which is fine by me.

I would imagine so, with that big hole the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile put in your house. :-)

Took the dog for a walk, worked with the new pup we're fostering (temporarily), mowed the lawn, and getting ready for a nap.

Went to Barnes 'n' Noble this morning and finished up the buyer's contract for the house I want to buy. Should have it ready to present to the seller on Tuesday.

Went to Target and Fry's. Got some new make up and the ingredients to make a tropical pasta salad recipe that I found on a running site. I might try making it after church this evening.

Now I'm thinking a nap is in order. Don't have the energy to do much else. It was blazing hot when I ran errands a couple of hours ago. Temperature right now at 1 p.m is 107. Ugh and ugh.

Kid Patrol all day while Mrs. Tantal is at work. Still have to finish up some laundry, change a few light bulbs around the house (a daunting task considering the height of my ceilings), and go to the grocery store. Same chit, different weekend.

I got two days off in a row next week.  What should I do? :hyper:

It's almost lunch time.  Wahoo.  At least things are slow today.

Nothing big today.  My wife and I were supposed to go to another one of her relatives' camps on a lake about 45 minutes to the northwest, but she's got a sinus infection, so she feels crappy--and we've got a baptism to go to tomorrow, for one of her sister's daughters.  So, I'll be making up some Thera-Flu for her soon (the nighttime version), after The Heiress goes to sleep.  The kid's been acting as if she's somehow related to the Energizer Bunny, with all of the energy she's been displaying.  But, she'll hit "the wall" soon . . . I hope . . .

Made ribs on the BBQ.  Enjoying frosty brews as I await the sex and booze crowd to show up.  Tomorrow is lawn mowing day since it rained this morning and the grass was too wet all day.

Drove 4+ hours, had brunch with my daughter, watched the end of camp showcase for 3 hours, packed her stuff in the car, then drove home for 4+ hours.

Exciting day.  But I am glad to see my little girl again.  She had a great time!

Ok, it's Sunday and I'm too lazy to start another thread.   :-)  Tied the record low this morning...57 degrees.  I offer my thanks to those on duty on the VRWC Weather Control Satellite.  Nicely done.  I will put in a good word for you with Lord Rove.
