Can I try this, looks like fun.
Saturday morning , Harry and Beth Thompson went to check on their only child Patty Ann, 11 years old as she had not come down for breakfast.
Pattys room was empty, the window wide open. The bathroom, attic and celler were searched and phone calls to her friends parents could not turn up the child.
Pattys parents relunctably called the police. A dective came to the house, a 20 year veteren, female who handled missing children cases. She was a world weary woman who had seen it all ,her name was Dective Mary Rue.
An Amber allert was put out, the family lived in Walnutcreek California a good section. not rich but able to afford in ground pools and send their kids to a comunity college after highschool.
The parents went into a state of semi shock as family came rushing to their aid and life became incomprehensable for the parents. Time slowed down, their minds sluggest could not process all that was going on.
It came as a shock to realise that the police were trying to make a case that pointed the finger at them.
Flyers were printed with Patty Anns picture, the comunity galvenized to spend 3 days searching the area for her.
After 6 days and no sign of her the searches stopped, the parents were still in no condition to work, eat or sleep----where was Patty Ann ??
On day 11 the Dective Mary Rue came to their home at 1 AM-----We have found Patty Ann, she is alive and well.
Seems a tourest in Burlington Vermont found her wandering a back road in tattered pajamers and had taken her to the police station.
The child gave her name, address and age to the police, and told them she had no idea how she ended up in Vermont.
Patty Ann was flown home to face parents, doctors, her minister and a slew of police.
It was noted that when her pastor aproached her she did not at first reconise him, the man that she had seen every sunday of her life.
Observers say Patty Ann got a confused look on her face at first, then apologised to her pastor telling him that it had been a very long time since she had seen him or thought of him.
To be continued----
