Poll: have you ever had communication with a primitive?

Have you ever had a sub rosa communication with a primitive, via e-mail or personal message on a web-site?

Here, I'm talking specifically about primitives from Skins's island only, and not primitives from other islands.

If you wish, and if convenient, please describe how it happened.

It sorely disappoints me that I've never, really, had communication with a primitive, while so many others here have had lots and lots of it.

I dunno why the primitives ignore franksolich, who's a nice guy, one of the nicest guys one can hope to meet.

I've been thinking about this because I've been watching the precipitous decline in the writing potential of the "Mythsaje" primitive, and his prospects.

I dunno how GOBUCKS nailed it, but he nailed it, and good.

I always had this "picture" of franksolich as an old wealthy man sitting by the fireside, sipping cognac and brandy, thinking of things that will no longer be, at peace with himself and the world.  It's cold and dark outside, and one can see the snow falling on the other side of the windows.

Something out of Charles Dickens, in London of the 1840s.

And suddenly the face of a dirty little waif is pressed against the window, looking in.  His nose is flattened against the glass.  The forlorn maudlin little ragamuffin really really really wants to come inside.

franksolich contemplates the other side of the window, and suddenly thinks, "Aha!  The ragged kid's got potential.  He's a nobody right now, but all he needs is a little bit of guidance, a little bit of direction, and he could be the biggest thing since the printing press."

franksolich grabs a candle, and rushes to the door.

But then the ungrateful little bastard runs away, into the darkness.

I've never been that fortunate.  The closest I've come to is arguing with a middle-aged idiot cousin about public healthcare.  I still maintain to this day that we can not afford as a nation to have the government pay for every single person in the country.  Pres0dent 0bama is going to prove everyone right that told him he was wrong.

I'd like to chat with them - I'd like to understand them beyond their political leanings -which I disagree with almost entirely. Unfortunately though most of the primitives of prominence around here are the ones I like the least - Sniffa, BiBabe, IanDavid.. Though I wouldn't mind chatting with the all but forgotten former Mrs.Sniffa - I find her interesting - or it could be a bit of old fashioned chivalry kicking in, as I have a soft spot for women mercilessly dashed against rocks as she has been.

No, never in a situation where a DUmmy realized he was communicating with a decent and civilized person.
I think such instances are probably very rare.

DUmmies often claim conversations with us, in their silly bouncy stories, but of course those are all fictional. We and DUmmies rarely cross paths except in cyberspace, and in cyberspace they are usually screaming profane hatred, and we are laughing at them. Not conducive to communication. In real life, most DUmmies live in a world that is very foreign to most of us.

I also think of the families of DUmmies. In some cases, likely not the majority, but some, DUmmies have families who are perfectly normal. What an ordeal it must be for these people to endure family get togethers with a DUmmy in attendance, or even worse, to live under the same roof.

But franksolich has had lots and lots of indirect communication from DUmmies.

Then Fat Che got the idea to come out here to "play baseball" with me, and the sensitive lad, the piano playing primitive, the "goodboy" primitive, wanted to go along.

I showed that to people around here, and within a couple of days, I was finding baseball bats on the front porch.  Most of them looked as if they had been dug out of attics or basements, or gotten for a couple of dimes from garage sales.

I dunno how many bats I ended up having, but early that autumn, when I was getting ready to leave where I was at, moving out here where I'm at now, I used the bats for firewood in the wood-burning furnace.

I'd like to kick their ass! I have no time or patience for ignorant people! I'd just as soon kick them in the balls/twat and flush them down the toilet!

You had already come over from FR to CU during the kerfuffle with The Red Round One.  We both got to lock horns with Will Pitt when he briefly showed up at TOS.

I've been on the revieving end of hate mail from the likes of rabrrr and a couple others...then of course there's the dust up I had with mike_c and the ensuing smack down I gave him at LU and of course my ongoing thing with LynnTheDem.

I'm just glad in all of these dealing I've had the protection of distance and the internet.  If they don't like my personality online...they'd like it even less in person.
