Just read what Senate Republicans did to gut the House version of the stimulus bill.

But, we had a bi-partisan bill!

Yeah it doesn't seem to be working very well. Sigh.

A very small fire, and I think most DUmmies will steer clear of it.

Delusional DUmmie tries to rewrite history.  How stooopid can these idiots get?  It was widely reported by the LSM that the Republicans were blocked out of the stimulus package negotiations, and the bill passed on pretty much a party line vote.  Hey DUmmies, you have only Pelosi/Reid/0Bama to blame for the mess that we're in right now.

I think you run away too soon. I think it is likely that the stimulus bill has saved many hundreds of thousands of jobs already. Much of the money is not released until later this year as well.

But your desire to cast this bill as "Republican written" is bizarre.

This DUmmie at least knows who wrote the bill, but they are still falling for that "saved jobs" line from 0Bama.  If President Bush would have tried that line, the MSM would have been on him like white on rice. It's an unprovable claim, but it can't be disproved either.

The Oministration says that "three million jobs were saved because of the stimulus."  But, there's been over six million jobs lost in the whole economic downturn.  So, the Oministration insinuates that over nine million jobs would be lost without the stimulus.  Yet, less than 1% has gone to the traditional engine of job creation--privately-owned small businesses (about $750 million of $787 billion).

And the Oministration said that without the stimulus, unemployment would go over 8%.  Well, lurking DUmb****s, we got the stimulus--and unemployment is nearly 9.5%.

When the economy grinds to a halt, the DUmb****s will be the first ones dead.  I can't wait!

The Little Goons and those like them thrive through their dishonesty.  They know it is all chronic bullsh*t.  Their audience knows it is chronic bullsh*t.  We know it is chronic bullsh*t.  But their dishonesty sustains them.  Their warped and incredibly stupid (and personally harmful) worldview and anti-humanity ideology requires it. 

It, liberalism, really reALLY REALLY is a mental illness.  It's not just a joke.  It's not just a put-down.  It is a fact.  It is on display on this DU thread.  No one can deny it.  They are very sick in the mind.  No sane person would choose to live a life which requires constant dishonesty and deceit while justifying that existence by lying to himself.

Once I had a "discussion" with a mentally ill liberal who claimed all was well in his world of dishonesty because being willing to lie and deceive is the only way to make the world "right".

What the truth about the "stimulus" bill is is very simple--Obama told Nancy Pelosi to write it.  That's why ACORN gets its disguised billion$ now and most of the money for infrastructure is back-loaded, due to be disbursed close to the 2012 elections.

Man, that Better Believe It guy is one stubborn SOB.  He's told time and again that it's the Democrats' bill.  But, because Charley Rangel once said "3 Republican senators wrote it" (his quote) it must be true.  Case Closed.  No Questions Asked.

As many of us have said from the beginning - the purpose of Democrats wooing Republicans over this bill was to find someone to blame if it went wrong. And to claim claim strong leadership by Obama if it went right. If there is any truth to this Rangel quote, it proves that assertion.

It also suggests things are much worse than the Obamedia is letting us in on, if Rangel is already trying to blame the other side.
