President Barack Obama said that the nuclear attack on Los Angeles had tightened his resolve to fostering peace with the Islamic world, calling for a fourth round of face to face talks within hours of the destruction of the nations second-most populous state. The President ruled out the use of force, just as he did a month ago when suicide bombers killed thirty-seven at a Florida jewish retirement community.
"Violence begets violence. We cannot create a never ending cycle of war that destroys all of us" he explained in a solemn prime time address "We must go with our better angels and seek a peaceful solution".
President Obama announced that he would send Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton on a whirlwind diplomatic tour across the middle east, building a consensus for peace. A similar tour by Sec State Hillary and George Soros two months ago following the radioactive dirty bomb attack on Kansas City failed to end the attacks in the US.
"This time must be different. We must convince those who would do us harm to believe that we can and will be their partners in peace" Obama said at a press conference, explaining his decision to, once again, use diplomacy against terrorism.
Meanwhile the Republican Party accused President Obama of weakness in the face of horrors.
The President responded by saying the accusations were merely dirty politics as usual.
