Harry Reid: Dont expect too much from our 60 votes
“We have 60 votes on paper,†Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, said Wednesday in an interview. “But we cannot bulldoze anybody; it doesn’t work that way. My caucus doesn’t allow it. And we have a very diverse group of senators philosophically. I am not this morning suddenly flexing my muscles.â€â€¦
“One or two could peel off on any issue,†said Mr. Reid
Sorry if this is old news. I just heard it.
No Harry, what we don't expect much from is fluid-spined democratic non-leadership....because that is what we have come to expect from you.

8. exactly... give some primary challangers something to work with.
So.....for example.....what Democrat's going to be suicidal enough to challenge Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) in the primary?

14. The incumbents only continue to have support because Reid gives them "plausable deniability".
They are never against anything because ole Hands Off Harry never forces a hard vote.
Some so calls "dems" vote against a dozen or so progressive projects and they might actually lose and be replaced by a real Democrat.
Since there never is a vote they have a spotless record.

3. He is pathetic and worthless. Goddammit!
Repukes only need 51 to enact their agendas. Democrats need what? 70,75???
What would it take, Spineless Harry?
One suspects Ol' Harry knows more about politics in a scraping from underneath one of his fingernails, than all the primitives on Skins's island all put together.

5. How diverse can you be on the need to make sure every child has decent health care?
I mean, seriously. It's not like the Senate's revisiting the semi-auto ban. It's health care. Get it done.

9. If they won't vote yes on cloture, throw them out and remove them from committees
Otherwise, go to hell if you ever expect another dime or another call or another vote from me.

10. Mr. Chicken Goes to Washington
Our 60 votes are really like 30. But you give us 90 votes, boy then you will see some agenda action! We will be reconsidering motions left and right and tabling resolutions to make your head spin.

13. Reid's Job, Sir, is To see No One Peels Off On Any Particular Issue
If he cannot do this, or even see that it is what he must do, he needs to step aside for someone who can do the job.

15. THEN MAKE THEM FILIBUSTER
Make them sit there, on national TV, and block everything.
If you had a spine, Harry, you'd have brought them to heal two years ago.
