For those who might be wondering, the redhead (Papagena, a female Solomon Islands eclectus) is wearing a bib or cape because she's a notorious feather-picker. Keepin' feathers on that child is a full-time job, believe me....

It's a bass trombone, which spices things up just a wee bit more at home.

Prolly explains why I'm relegated to the dungeon when I practice...... :p

Of course, the girls don't mind.

I know, used to play one in HS.....just observing that it was not a Euphonium......which by your moniker is what one might expect....

Damn, that makes at least four of us trombone players, although one of us wimped out before high school ended. That ONE KNOWS to whom I am referring. I still have MY axe, plus a couple of other brass instruments. I haven't played in a while, though.

I played trombone too.  From 6th to 12th grade and even in county honor band.

Haven't played in decades.......my mother also subjected me to ten years of piano, my problem when it comes to musical instruments is......I'm a mechanic, I can play, but am totally devoid of talent.......love to listen though, except for what is called popular music today.  I stopped listening to "popular" music when I no longer heard brass and saxes in the groups.........

A "band" today is three guitars and a set of traps..........sorry, that ain't a band......

I play both euph and bass trombone - practice each one every day. Tenor trombone, less than that.

Euph's my main axe, though.

I play in a 10-piece brass ensemble in which I piss off the tuba player because I play his part better than he can.  :rotf:
