So, "Inside Edition" called my house...looking for my son

I played the messages.. I had 12 of 'em, & figured I might as well play some.

First message:

Hi, this is the television show, Inside Edition.. we are trying to contact your son (his name).....and then it just fades away..no real message, or phone number.

I called his cell & found out that he's gotten about FIFTEEN calls today from tv shows & newspapers, all wanting to "interview" him.

What DID he do?... nothing

He just happens to have the same name as some poor man whose wife & daughter were drowned in an undertow at the beach the other day

The guy actually lives not that far from my son and his wife.. (the accident was at Montara State Park Beach)

I cannot even imagine how that poor guy must feel, to have the %^$#@!*&( ENTERTAINMENT venues calling him when he's lost his wife & daughter in such a horrific way..

Up until this point, nobody, but nobody, had the slightest idea of the silly primitive's real name (at least the last name).....that is, if anybody was ever interested in knowing it.

But now the silly primitive's made it easy for some jerk or depravity or deviate, such as Fat Che, to google for the news story, to find out the silly primitive's real last name.

Fat Che's done sordid things like this.

That was really stupid.  Skins REALLY needs to teach the primitives internet safety, lest squalidities like Fat Che prey on them.

At our old home, there was a thread brought over where a primitive posted a Google satellite map image of the street its house was on. Between that image, and other tidbits of data it left behind, I was able to determine the exact address of its home, within one house (either one off to the left or the right, or across the street) This took me all of fifteen minutes to do - and its not like it was a street I recognized from my neighborhood either. (The home was either in Delaware or Maryland, IIRC)

Unless you are willing to risk unwanted attention or phone calls, don't make such revelations. And I say this as someone who's exact identity can be determined in all of five minutes if one knows where to look. But such is the way of the web. It's not all that anonymous.

I had an asshat a few years ago harass me on another web site. He was threatening me and my family. He was sure he was anonymous. Because he was a blowhard he had posted pictures of himself and other info on America Offline.

Took me about an hour...... I sent him a picture of himself and of his house! He quit screwing with me for some reason.

I posted a guys legal troubles online after he was pulling a "im better then everyone" stunt on a local message board.

In just seconds the entire online community learned about his drug use & getting arrested for beating his wife just five months before.
