Oh my.

Given the nature of primitives, this is no surprise.

I have 3 counts of aggravated assault on my police record.

This happened 13 years ago. I was their landlord.

Their uncle was the former chief of police.

The arresting officer was their cousin, (small town)

They harassed me endlessly.

One of them broke my nose in "multiple" places after picking me up from a lawn chair and throwing me around a bit. I filed charges but she never was indicted.

The weapon was a bottler of pepper spray for animals that contained .35% capsasin.. The arresting officer told the judge that I was carrying 35% pepper spray which was above the legal limit for capsasin. It was because of this that the charges were upped to aggravated instead of simple assault, (I believe).

All three sued me, my mother, (the owner of the apartments) and the apartment company.

I only paid $350 for my attorney because I did not think that it would go beyond municipal court.

Several years after; the woman's, (the one who broke my nose) attorney told my new stepfather who was a client also that she made a living out of suing people. I believe to this day that they purposely aggravated and scared me into spraying them with the pepper spray so they could collect on another "business insurance company"' money. I spent many nights staying at a friend's house because I was afraid to walk by their apartment on the way to my own in the night.

I could not handle going through a jury trial. I was so mentally sick I just wanted it to go away so I took the plea deal, (the dropped the 2 weapon, (pepper spray) and I plead to 3 counts of aggravated assault.

I moved to Florida right after if happened although I had to go back to NJ 3 times to face the judge. I was a mental mess and could not stop crying.

For a long time I would be afraid if I saw a police car even if it was on TV. I couldn't even watch Judge Judy. I think I had post traumatic stress disorder.

To this day I am afraid of the police.

That is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

1. Do you have access to someone you could talk to? A professional who might be able to help you deal with all that you're experiencing?

I hope it goes well for you..............

3. Thank you very much. I just updated the post to say that it all happened 13 years ago and I have had therapy since then. I'm not afraid of Judge Judy anymore.

5. May I ask a question?

I'll just go ahead and ask.

Why did you post that?

Home run for the Rita Hayworth primitive; good question, excellent question.

6. Because of some people's belief that because Michael Jackson is guilty of child molestation because he paid off that kid. I want people to know things are not always as black and white as they may seem.

I was an easy target because of my connection to a business that had money and 3 people took advantage of that.

8. i've seen similar things happen to people (not as extreme as yours, more in work
situations) & i agree with you.

people will pay just to make things go away. people will walk away from things legitimately theirs because they can't deal with conflict or controversy, too.

2. Sounds like you have a good case of getting your record expunged ......

..... contact the state bar association of where this happened or a maybe Rutger's College of law and see what they say. Although your guilty plea might be a sticking point.

I wish you the best!

9. This is why I never, ever trust cops. Any cops.

You've got to treat them like dangerous wild animals when you encounter one - play nice, hope it doesn't decide that you're prey, because if it does, you're ****ed.

You're playing Russian Roulette every time you have to interact with one - one day, you might get the bad one that decides to **** your entire life just for fun.

You have to treat them as thugs with badges. Because so many of them are.

10. Seriously? come on man...

"**** the pigs!"

I can understand having a healthy fear of authority. But you don't have to "treat them as thugs with badges."

What a bunch of cop hating bullshit.

11. There are too many bad cops out there.

The latest outrage:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/6/28/747810/-Bre... -(Update-x6)

Fort Worth cops raid a gay bar, arresting several patrons, putting one in the hospital with a fractured skull and a brain bleed, on the 40th anniversary of Stonewall. And yeah, judging by the eyewitness reports, this was definitely an anti-gay hate crime on the part of the police.

****ing pigs...

13. This has me confused

I only paid $350 for my attorney because I did not think that it would go beyond municipal court.

After it became more serious, your attorney didn't discuss further financial liabilities with you?

It sounds like you got the legal representation you paid for.

I think the DUmmies are very rational in their fear of the police.
When you have a stash in your sock, every cop is a threat.

That must be the first squawk from dirty, smelly old DUmmy bobbolink in months.
They must have wi-fi under the bridge now.

Let's say there is any truth in the DUmmie's story.  It got itself involved in a confrontation with three other individuals.  Then it's first defensive reaction was to go for pepper spray, which doesn't always work.

Please DUmmies, remember these rules.  If you can walk away, do that.  If not, run.  If you can't do either, try to talk them out of it.  If they won't listen and they make it physical first, make your first shot a damned good one, and pepper spray just isn't.  Even then you're still outnumbered which usually means you are gonna get your ass kicked anyway.
