Bush takes swipes at Obama policies

ERIE, Pa.| Former President George W. Bush fired a salvo at President Obama on Wednesday, asserting his administration's interrogation policies were within the law, declaring the private sector not government will fix the economy and rejecting the nationalization of health care.

"I know it's going to be the private sector that leads this country out of the current economic times we're in," the former president said to applause from members of a local business group. "You can spend your money better than the government can spend your money."

Repeatedly in his hourlong speech and question-and-answer session, Mr. Bush said he would not directly criticize the new president, who has moved to take over financial institutions and several large corporations. Several times, however, he took direct aim at Obama policies as he defended his own during eight years in office.

"Government does not create wealth. The major role for the government is to create an environment where people take risks to expand the job rate in the United States," he said to huge cheers.

I wish he had said something about Obama's LAME response to what's happening over in Iran as well, but it's good to see him finally defend himself. Barack Hussein Obama is STILL trying to blame everything on Bush, he's whined enough now.

While I favor government regulation here and there, I think Obama is going too far with his ideas on the major increase in regulation. We don't need big brother that badly.

What I think is interesting is the idea of protecting those who spend money on stocks. It's their choice.
Happy Upcoming July 4th. Our country is still one of the best in the world.

Yes, Obama won.  Doesn't give him carte blanche to go and send America down the toilet.

It also does not give him the right to shred the Constitution and contract law.

By DUmmy logic, Bush & Cheney should be eligible to run twice more considering they didn't really win in 2000 or 2004. :-)

Even though I think more Highly of former President Bush junior..because of his stance on Abortion. I still think he has some learning to do with his foreign policy of Isolationism. His actions infact have not made America safe just as much as Obama.
