 I've been smoking and toking for 30 years - I have been employed steadily since graduating from college - haven't been in trouble with the law - don't bother my neighbors - am fiscally responsible - enjoy the company of many types of people - pay my taxes, etc...

9. I create lame web graphics for an online directory...
   
my tasks are just creating the art and uploading it into this ad generator. We aren't connected to the network and the only way to get to it is through this program called WebDrive which slows the process waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy down, if it works to begin with. It'll take to long to explain but the writing is on the wall - time to find something else. I can't handle it anymore, nothing is going to change or get better. It's over.

My place of employment is really starting to suck ass - guess I should start looking for another job. You know what? It's bullshit when all you want to do is work and do the best you can but get treated like shit for it.

Education for profit. Anyone have experience with so-called "Career Colleges"?
   
I'd like to update some skills at work and went looking around for classes to take. Every search resulted in getting links to these "Career Colleges" like DeVry, Phoenix, Intercontinental, Westwood, etc... I clicked on a few of them and checked out the tuition costs:

The average cost per term is approximately $4,500.00 and the average number of terms, should you want a degree, are 15 - which comes to a total of $67,000... :wtf: Did I figure that right?

After looking at some of those places, I've come to a conclusion that they most likely don't teach you anything that would help you find a better job and that their main purpose is to separate you from your money. These places have S-C-A-M written all over them.

Am I wrong to feel that way?

I may lose my job Tuesday but I'm more worried about the gulf states.
   
Today I've decided to get over myself, especially when I compare my situation with those that will be effected by hurricane Katrina - I have it pretty good. I care more about my fellow citizens, including those I am philisophically opposed. Bless you all, I will pray for your safety. :hug:
