just went to take daughter's laundry to her room and found her packing

she thinks she is going to move out to a town 60 miles away

I am done with her

if you will remember last week she was being ungrateful..

Now I am just going to let her pack her bags and go

but she gets NO money from me, no NOTHING

48. I agree with your advice. Once she's eighteen she's on her own.

But before that, there's the whole parental responsibility thing.

54. apparently she and my mother in law have been talking and she is moving in with her

don't get me wrong, my MIL is pretty cool, but I am a bit angry that she would think this is cool

Ultimate slap in the face.

8. And you need to share this with us ...why?

Sounds like something best kept "in the family", not broadcast all over the world. Oh well, I guess some folks just need attention.

12. What's YOUR problem?

People here post all kinds of stuff about their problems, sometimes personal, sometimes not. There's a lot of wisdom out there.

You, clearly, are not among that "wisdom" bunch....................................

25. I thought we had a good relationship but the last 3 weeks she doesnt' speak to me, she stays in her room unless she is talking to her dad or getting food.

She just left and didnt' even say anything

she looks at me as if she wishes I were dead

and all teh while it is her dad, my hubby who I had protected her from all this time. Dont' get me wrong...he is a good man, but sometimes speaks before he thinks and is kind of gruff with words...he doesnt' mince them...

I have always been the go between...maybe I shouldn't have been

but I thought I was doing what was best to keep peace between both daddy and daughter

but it hasn't gotten me anywhere

she knows how very proud of her I am . I tell her constantly

I also tell her I love her all the time

as I said, I was determined to always treat her with respect and love and to make sure she knows it

far from what I experienced with my own mother

hubby says maybe I was "too good"

26. my mom would say I deserve it

I think she is the most awesome person in the world, I love her tremendusly but I don't know why she is so angry at me or with me or what ever

I don't deserve it.

I understand the growing pains and wanting independence...I actually left home the day after I graduated...(bad circumstance) and it made me grow up

but I hated my mom and knew she hated me...

I spent her whole life making sure she wouldn't think the same way I did and it seems she feels that way anyway

You deserve every rotton thing that happens to you.

Thanks. It' one of my favorite posters. She's such a drama queen.

I think she's taking her daughter's budding independence way too personally. She's probably been a hoverer over that child her entire life and she just wants some space. Not to mention if things are so bad in that house between her and her husband, didn't she ever figure the child would want to leave at some point?

I don't know, I just think her daughter is in the know it all, independence phase.if she truly is ungrateful as gb says, she'll quickly discover other people have rules and conditions too--even grandma. As for greenbrier, she needs to stop being so damn offended because her daughter is going through the same phase that 90% of other adolescent girls have gone through. I think what really offends mother like her sometimes is that her kid is not as special as she thought--she goes through the same stages, discontentment, growth, etc as any other kid.

I almost get the impression gb is pissed because her kid has not adequately bowed in approval at her mother's sacrifice to raise her :whatever: What exactly did gb sacrifice? Material things? Nope. a career? nope. a good life? nope. Hmmm...your daughter thinks you are a dumb adult...guess that doesn't make greenbrier any more special then any other parent of an adolescent out there either. lol

Wonder if the daughter finally got sick of her lunatic mom always screeching politics and putting down her father.
Greenbriar is the most ungrateful wench one could ever know by the things she has posted.

Yea .. I think the concept of unconditional love is completely beyond some folks.  It always surprises me because I have always thought it was a human parental instinct, not something you choose or even really think about.

You gotta remember that GB is addicted to pain meds and her ole man is a drunk. The home life must suck.

I did a DU search on GB and she has started several threads about her doing twice the prescribed dosage of her pain drug and running out early. Getting the Dr. to allow her to refill early, by writing a new script.

She also has started several threads on her preparing a big dinner. She lists all the foods, including dessert. She gets pissed because no one eats it. She dines alone.

Seriously, so would I!

Greenbriar sounds so immature here.  She is complaining about her daughter, her 17 high school graduate daughter, not being willing to stay home.  If I recall correctly, her daughter is going to a local community college next year.  Maybe the daughter realized that this is the best time to get settled in a new place, get used to grandma's rules, so that she is settled for the school year.  Maybe the daughter feels under appreciated after she gave her mom an expensive purse, or maybe she found out that dear mom is talking about her online.

About Greenbriar "protecting" her daughter from her father, I doubt that either Greenbriar's husband or her daughter would see things the same way.  I'm betting that either the daughter didn't need protecting at all, and Greenbriar is a drama queen and her daughter knows it (probably true either way), or if it was really that bad, that her daughter needed more protection than a go between, and is upset that her mother didn't take her out of the situation.

Bingo!

Looks like the kid is being a teenager and woke up to the fact that her mother is a Moonbat.

Anything can happen when you try to be your child's "bestest buddy" instead of their parent. The parents who do that often have a surprise coming.

Major family drama such as this, and the first thing she does is go post about it on a public forum. :whatever:

Yeah, her husband's such a prick. I guess that's why he takes her fat ass on cruises every f'n year. If he knew what she said about him at the DUmp, he'd probably throw her fat ass overboard and put me out of the misery of having to read her idiotic drivel.

If I recall correctly,  her daughter actually bought her one of the high dollar purses.  I'm sure the husband pays for plenty of her luxuries though.

I can't help but laugh.  Seems many over there read her posts and know she's a drama queen.

She's going to live with her grandmother not a stranger.  Why does greenbriar call grandma MIL ?  Because it's her husband's mother ?

I bow to Tucker13.  You have greenbriar pegged.   :-)

I cannot believe the stuff that woman posts.  She has no shame.
