I wish.  No HBO.  I found the program (by accident and in progress) last weekend on our hotel room TV.  I was intrigued.  It was disappointing to find out it was not a movie I could rent in order to see the whole thing.

My wife is recording later, since there are other shows on tonight.

The first season should be on DVD soon, if not already. :-)

Yeah season one came out on DVD a couple of weeks ago.  It is also on On Demand but ends today for most of the episodes of season 1.

Watched it and thought it was great. I didn't watch season 1 so I'm playing catch up. A friend is loaning me the DVD's.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I must admit that when I watched the first episode of last season I thought it was hokie but I continued to watch.  Now I really like it.  I missed the first episode of season 2, I'll have to watch the reruns this week.

Did you notice that new strange brunette chick who is an old "friend" of dog boy...is the girl who played Ro Laren on Star Trek TNG?

Yeah she was on BSG too.  I can't wait to find out what she's all about.  Nothing like in the books at all.

I missed it, but haven't finished season 1 yet, so will wait until then.  Having read all the books, I'm not that exited about the show, but they do get most of it dead on.  I can't wait though.

The show goes in a totally different direction than the books do.  It is almost like having a second set of Sookie books now.

From what I saw from season 1 thus far, outside of Tara and beefing up some of the characters by giving them a broader role, I don't thinks it's that far off.  My major question is does season 2 pick up like book 2 and I wonder if they keep going, how they will translate the books over as there are historical events in the books that shape the stories, whereas the show happens after them.

The wife and I use either Netflix or Hulu to watch shows likr this. I haven't seen True Blood, but we've gotten hooked on Sanctuary. All the episodes are available on Netflix for instant (online) watching. We just hook up my comp (speaker wire and vid cable) to our 56" TV and watch.

Now there's an option.  All I have to do is run out and buy a 56" TV and a watch.  I have neither at present.
