Matt lauer had the nerve to say to Sarah "isn't it over the top to say you wouldn't trust Letterman alone with your children." I looked incredulously as Sarah did and though now wait a second isn't it over the top for a 62 year old man to make a joke about a 14 year old girl involving anything remotely sexual? This is the typical left MO though, try to move the outrage where it does NOT belong from the person it should be on.
I'd say Sarah's outrage is justifiable. if they could put politics aside for a moment and think as parents, they would understand why. Forget politics, I'd be ready to kick the ass of a man myself who said something so despicable about my child. Sarah's not saying this as someone at the right towards someone in the left--she's saying this as a mother who has every right to defend her UNDERAGE child.
At this point too, I think what pisses off Sarah the most is A)Letterman's apology is not genuine since he's backpeddling and saying he didn't mean *THAT* child B) the media defense of Letterman C) The lefts pure unadulterated faux outrage when a right winger says anything remotely offensive to them(usually about other ADULTS I might add) but now act as somethign they'd be tied in fits over is no big deal.
I'm not a huge Sarah Palin fan but between her and Dick Cheney speaking against Obama's idiocy, I'm glad to see conservative individuals fighting back instead of sitting down and being dignified and not getting ruffled. The majority of policy and opinion and indignancy on this side is justified and backed up by facts...our side should be hitting that home more often.
I applaud her for defending her child against an adult's inappropriate comments. If leftists(especially those who are parents) were honest, they'd admit that she is doing exactly what she should be doing in this situation.
