Ashton Kutcher has demanded American politicians race to free two US journalists convicted for illegally entering North Korea, insisting Monday's shock news of their imprisonment is "a national crisis".
The actor is among those outraged by reports Laura Ling and Euna Lee have been sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

The two Current TV reporters were found guilty of committing "a grave crime" against North Korea, and Kutcher took to his Twitter.com blog to appeal for help on the two journalists' behalf.

He writes, "This should be a national crisis... We have to demand that something be done."
  Punk'd?

Uh-oh, he looks pissed. Kim Jung Il better be careful.  Hollyweird is calling for war over two reporters.  How quickly they forget that the NoKos were once their heroes.  :whatever:

Isn't Current TV that hippy network started by that guy that forgot to take Monica's dress to the dry cleaners for his boss?

Wasn't the motto last year "we have no business meddling in another country's affairs"?

ASHTON KUTCHER?!?  Damn, Li'l Kim has gone and done it now!

 :rotf:

As far as the journalists go, I'm having a hard time working up total sympathy, they seem like two typical idiots who think America is an overbearing despotic power but then expect to be able to run back under its skirts and play the "I'm an American!" card when they are caught committing a crime in some REAL despotic hangout, or that part of the world I refer to as "Not America."

America - you have more rights than you can shake a stick at, we even have a Supreme Court that makes up new ones every once in awhile, feel free to act like a fool all you want to, the worst that can happen is people write about what a fool you are.

Not America - That shit don't play here.

One of the reporters, Laura Ling is the sister of Lisa Ling who had a brief stint as the token conservative on "The View" for a couple of episodes before Hasslebeck joined them.

Lisa Ling.

Ashton needs to be more concerned with the nukes that N Korea possesses than a couple of reporters.

It's almost a comedy.  The Left is having to scale back their love of communism all of the sudden.  Their hero in the White House is stepping on some toes.  The idea that is the USA isn't looking so rough after all.  The thought we may have to nationalize Hollywood is creeping them out.  There is a lot of money there....more than General Motors and Chrysler combined.  Can you imagine Barbra and Susan/Tim having to live in government housing?  Can you imagine Oprah Winfred thinking her billion is off-limits?

Ashton, don't you have a "That 70's Show" reunion or an episode of "Punked" to film somewhere?

Christ on a cracker, I'm embarassed that he and his "wife" foul the good name of Farmington with their "ranch".

Ashton needs to be more concerned with the nearly grandmotherly Demi's wrinkles than a couple of reporters.

Oh Ashton, ya bud, you are yesterday.     :loser:
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
