Hell, the power of sarcasm is already strong with our 10 year old. It seems to be a part of growing up. One would think a teacher has seen these things before.
I always said that my sarcasm was inherited from my mother. She really doesn't like that.
I also inherited my "morning person" attributes from my mother, but 13 years of Catholic schools, four years of 8AM classes in college, and four years in the Army probably contributed. Thing is, The Heiress has inherited
my tendancies in this regard, and added to them. I got home from an overnight trip out to western NY and my wife informed me that The Heiress was up at 4:15AM today . . .

ETA: There's a relatively new country song that tells a story about a guy whose daughter has grown up now, but the singer still considers her "Daddy's little girl," and announces that he's sure thnat she'll be alright on that date, because when she comes home, "I'll be here still cleaning my guns." Who does that? I have
got to find out!
