Zombie Attack! Survival test.

Zombies are outside. You have precious little time. But they haven't spotted you yet.
What weapons are in reach? and will you stay or leave?

2 factors.
1) these are the slow shuffling but relentless types. You need a head shot to kill one. they are attracted to lights and sound.
2) This is with no warning, you can see about a dozen out front, but you have no idea just how many are roaming. reports are just now coming in on the TV.

Grab the VEPR K in 5.45x39 and the Glock 17 with the 33-rounders. I mow down the horde whilst Mrs. Tantal fires up the Land Cruiser to get us the hell outta here. She drives while I hang out the sunroof having target practice and clearing the road.

All weapons are within reach if we are at home.  Just a couple if we are on the road (we do have extra ammo though).  I think I would like to be holed up in Walmart, everything I would ever need is right there.  I might run to Kentucky though.  By the time the zombie hordes got to the area I would run to I would have a fortress going there.

Well, I got the M-4 with the Beta-C mags loaded and the tac-shotguns with tac slings and staggered buckshot cals. ready to go in the cabinet. Either one of those will do. Would probably grab those along with the functional katana because no reloads are necessary with that 3 1/2 ft. razor blade. Take the truck to the closest Academy and empty the shelves for 12 gauge, .308, etc. ammo . in the bed and play it by ear after that.

Remington 870 with the 00-buck loads, and a couple of extra boxes for more fun.  Take the .45 as backup.  Turn on the front porch light, take off around the back, come around the side, and have a little target practice.

I put the family in the car (we got a garage) and then bust out the door and start running zombies over.  I don't have any firearms at the moment, so I'll have to rely on blunt force trauma to keep them away.

I'd drive to work.  I work in a secure facility with magnetically sealed doors.  We've also got a large supply of food and drinks in there.  The only real problem I see is that theres no way to get my car within a 100 feet of the building, so that stretch would probably be the most dangerous for the family.  Once inside though, I'd feel pretty safe.

I have far more ammo on hand than the number of potential zombies within the range of any sound produced by shooting, and traveling in any direction would tend to take me to more populated areas.  Just sayin'.

I would apologize to the zombies for the arrogant way zombies have been treated throughout American history. I would encourage everyone to not view zombies in a stereotypical way.
