Religious Right-Wingnuts Burn Down Topless Coffee Shop In Maine
-They are getting violent. First murder, now this.-

Maine topless coffee shop gutted by arson fire
MSNBC
June 3, 2009

VASSALBORO, Maine - Fire investigators concluded that a fast-moving blaze that destroyed a topless coffee shop in Maine was deliberately set.

Owner Donald Crabtree escaped unharmed along with six others. He said the fire seemed suspicious, coming just hours after he appeared before the town's planning board.

"I don't even dare to say at this time," Crabtree said.

At the shop, waiters and waitresses without shirts served coffee and doughnuts. Crabtree had met Tuesday night with planning officials to discuss adding a disc jockey, expanding parking and extending the hours of operation.

The shop's opening in February raised the ire of dozens of local residents. Someone recently called police to complain that a waitress was outside the business without a shirt. An ordinance was proposed to regulate nudity at local businesses.

Steve Cooper, of Vassalboro, stopped to peruse the damage while passing by on his motorcycle. He had never been in the shop, but said it was a shame the fire had put people out of work.

"I don't think the business was doing any harm," he said.

A waitress at the shop, Krista MacIntyre, said the job was the best she's ever had. She hopes the fire doesn't put the shop out of business.

"We should keep on going, get back up and make it an even bigger place," she said.

- People who don't like "topless" don't have to patronize the coffee shop. People who don't like pornography don't have to buy it or watch it on TV. -

Did I miss the DUmp threads that discussed their responsibilty for the murder at the Arkansas recruiting station?  Where are the DUmp threads condemning the real Taliban for that murder?

Surprisingly enough, there were a few DUmmies that wanted to wait for evidence before calling out the lynch mobs. There was at least one call to round up Christians and send them to camps.  Wasn't there another leader that did that to a religious group?

I need pics before making any final judgments.

Hmmm last I checked Maine was a left leaning state. Also it's just as likely to have been the owner or an employee that set this fire or anyone besides what those amature Matlocks think over at Dump Island

Probably the owner or other 'partners' torched the joint.

Many of these places have some interesting 'connections'.

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

When a dive burns down, insurance is a far more likely reason than fanaticism.

I kinda laughed at this.  If I had a choice, I wouldn't be going to Starbucks for my coffee... the girls there refuse to take their shirts off for me.

Grand View, indeed.

I like cream in my coffee......but in a joint like that, I'd take it Black.

And another thing DUmmies. Fred Phelps supported Democrats so don't go blaming Right wingers for the loss of a topless coffee shop. Hell if they had them here I'd at least check it out. It might even beat  Hooters for scenery.

30. I bet the person(s) involved are also active in the repeal of same sex marriage in Maine

I've lived in Maine.  I don't think you guys really would have been interested.  They are the doggiest bunch of women I've ever seen.  It's better if they stick to their uniform of flannel shirts and lumberjack boots.
