OK, lets start our own political party

What should we call it and can we get on the ballot in any state without doing any work?
Thats the priority for most minor parties isn't it?

Freedom Party
Anti-Socialist Party
Reboot the Constitution Party
Exterminate Leftist Party

lets think of a good name

I think it's better to sit back and watch to see what naturally evolves from the current Republican and Democrat parties.  There's some convulsions, some changing, going on, but it takes time for those of us in the middle of the forest to see them, to understand them.

Natural evolution is always preferable to coerced "evolution."

Events, not individuals, direct history.

I had a great professor in college, an unapologetic extreme left-wing rabid Marxist-Leninist--even down to his appearance, that resembling Leon Trotsky--who was frustrated with me, although I got As and B+s in his classes, because I was Republican and conservative.

This was back when professors were still open-minded and respectful of opinions different from their own.  Oh, happy days of yore!

He was known to tell others (I never heard it myself) that unlike the teenaged "lightweight lefties," I had the "best understanding" of the Marxist-Leninist theories of history, of all his students.  And since I ostensibly understood it so well, he couldn't figure out why I was what I was (and am).

Well, excresence happens; we all don't turn out the ways others wish us to.

But anyway, getting back to the original point, I think it best to watch and see how the political parties evolve naturally, and then go from there.....using my Marxist-Leninist theories of history, that events, and not individuals, direct the future.

I was just wondering how one would become a primary contender in the Prohobition Party. lol. :rotf:

We already have a Prohibition Party; it's been resurrected by the same sorts of people who founded the original Prohibition Party.

These days, it's called the Democrat Party.

The Tightwad Party

Hey, don't they accuse us of being tight with money....and the government sure could use a tight fist about now.

The Commonsense Party

All the others seem to be a little short on that.

The Red Party

That right there would fool 1/2 the DUmmies into voting for the candidate.

The Blue Party

Another color to fool 1/2 the DUmmies and most musically inclined blacks.

The Free Party

We'll get 98% of the sane white vote when they learn that we're going back to strict rule by The Constitution. And the word "Free" will get us all the DUmmie vote and all the black vote....Talk about a landslide victory.

Frank, as always, is the voice of reason.  I agree with his wisdom.

That being said, I'd go with the Fairport Party.  That way we could have a Fairport Convention.

I've been contemplating running for State Representative here in North Central Texas. The current rep is kind of a jerk and property taxes here in this county are the highest in Texas. All in all, if Minnesota weren't so damned cold, I often think of moving back there because their laws seem just a bit better than Texas and far less restrictive. So, the only way I can change "shit" is to become part of the "shit".

My uncle suggested the same thing to me...I laughed..but wouldn't it be great to be a congresswoman in Palm Beach county...I'll flip this county over to the RIGHT in no time... :-)
But I didn't go to law-school. :(

In Texas, there is NO requirement to be a lawyer to run for state rep or Senator. Age and residency, that's all. I checked today :)
