My prayer with the Talibaptists who came to my door today
   
I had a couple of Talibaptists from the local Bible Temple knock on my door. I asked if they had heard the news about Dr. Tiller. They were pleased as punch. I got this smile on my face which they made the mistake of thinking was a pleasant smile. The students I used to teach could have warned them. This was a smile you never wanted to see. Somebody had done something way wrong, and I had broken out my “Smile of Doom.”

I asked these women if I could lead them in a moment of prayer. They were as happy as a pig in shit. I have said Grace before, but I don’t ever remember asking that question. We bowed our heads and I said:

Our Father who art in Heaven, this must be a day of great pain for you. Many who profess to love you and your only son, are taking great pleasure in the sorrow of others. Someone decided that he would stand in for you, and he took the life of another. What Dr.Tiller did and his salvation was up to you. I don’t begin to profess to know what you want.
However, whatever your thoughts about Dr. Tiller, I can’t imagine that you would rejoice over what has happened. I don’t believe you sent your son so that others would suffer. I was taught he was sent for forgiveness. Instead there is hate and anger.
“Forgive them Father. They know not what they do.”
Amen.

I gave them the skank eye and they left. I was churched well growing up in the South. I have no idea what I believe. I just know I don’t believe in what they profess to be God’s word. I don’t even know if there is a God. After yesterday, he probably resigned and left.

I call BS.  Although church outreach programs do send folk door-to-door sometimes, they would not go around back an knock on the basement bulkhead door.  Nope, not gonna happen.

So I'm guessing what really happened was a couple of people from the neighborhood church were passing out fliers about Vacation Bible School when this moonbat opened the door and screamed they were murderers and terrorists and should be at Gitmo instead of littering the neighborhood with useless papers and contributing to global warming. I bet they didn't leave a flier with her, either.

The only faith I know of that goes door to door without being asked to a home, is the Jehova's. It might have been believable if it mentioned them. Without it, it kicks the BS meter off the scale!

So, there I was...

I'd just PCS'd to Fort Riley and was living in a little one bedroom apt. waiting for on base housing. Every Saturday morning, or so it seemed- just as I got out of the shower, the Jehova's knocked on my door.

I'd quickly wrap a towel around me and answer- and there would be two ladies there with religious tracks. Of course one would be a stout matronly type, the other usually would be a younger lady.

I'd ask them to come in for tea, but they never did...

I know of exactly ZERO Baptists that are pleased about Tiller.  His death stops nothing, helps nothing, solves nothing, does no good to anyone.  As much as I hate the thought of the babies being killed every day in that place, there will always be some other "doctor" that will step up to murder for money....all that money.  The only way to get anything changed is through the law and public opinion.
