So, my cousin Dave and I went down to Camarillo (240miles) Wednesday to pick up the two with intact engines. There are three total, one has a blown engine, I am hoping to part it out to finance fixing up/tricking out the other two.
The trailer was originally for a SMALL fishing boat and so, one on the trailer, one in the bed of the truck. The trailer pulled great! No excessive wiggling or bouncing.
So, Yesterday I was over at my aunt's, where they are stored, and I noticed a trailer that is big enough to hold BOTH working wave runners and found out who it belongs to. He is a crackhead mechanic my cousin Jer fired a month ago. He said he wants a SMALLER trailer. Boy, have I got a deal for him... He is open to a straight trade so I'll bop on over and shoot him a couple of pictures tomorrow.
My cousin Bob (four boys on that side of the family) went and bought himself two wave runners of the same year as mine (95) and he paid... $3500. Even if I sink a grand into my two, I am still $2500 ahead. Why did my brother give them to me rather than selling them himself, and he really needs the money? I don't know. My theory is he's making up for the last 36 years...
