Well, I wasn't here for ANY of this side show of sickness, but Frank, I do indeed think you are being a little too chivalrous. Men can indeed be pigs, but as a woman, I can say with all honesty that men tend to be simple. It is the women who tend to plot, plan and be very devious. Women tend to be much more vindictive and also unbalanced. It is painful to admit, but most women will tell you they know what a man wants, what he will do in just about any situation, but women.....well, don't make one mad and turn your back on them. My hubby also sees women as the fairer and gentler sex, which is utterly sweet,  but not exactly true. Black widows, anyone?

There is no virtue in compulsory government charity, and there is no virtue in advocating it. A politician who portrays himself as caring and sensitive because he wants to expand the government's charitable programs is merely saying that he is willing to do good with other people's money. Well, who isn't? And a voter who takes pride in supporting such programs is telling us that he will do good with his own money— if a gun is held to his head.

Sorry, madam, but I can't help being me.

Recall, please, that Doug's ex-wife is generally considered a vile person, a jerk, a rectal aperture, and really stupid besides.

But even during the height of the Scamdal four years ago, I persisted in thinking of her as the wronged woman in the sense that she was being used by some other human agency for its own purposes.  Her being a woman, I just couldn't force myself to think her authentically malicious.

By the time I faced reality, though, she had changed again, to an object of scorn-filled pity, what with the obvious deterioration and erosion of her cerebral capacities due to overuse of mind-altering pharmaceutical drugs.

So that's a whole new ball of wax.

Credit it to my Pollyanna attitude; after all, it took me much longer to understand Pedro Picasso is a loser, than it did others, and that's really saying something.
