When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. "I was just totally speechless. I was like, 'You're kidding me,'" McLucas said.

McLucas said the supervisor who complained has been in the United States for 14 years and is formerly from Africa. McLucas said the supervisor took down Debbie's flag herself.

"The flag and the pole had been placed on the floor," McLucas said. But McLucas also said hospital higher ups had told her some patients' families and visitors had also complained.

If  she had placed a Mexican flag above the US flag, there would have been no complaints.

 A 3' x 5' in a small office shared by 4 people?  I bet they were complaining about the size more than the symbolism.  I share my office with 2 other people and we all have distinct personalities...I have a small "Remember 9.11" post card with the american flag on my desk...but it's not intrusive, it's only in my desk area.
While not appropriate, we have political discussion at work all the time and even have food bets during election season...Of course I was out a lot of money last election season :whatever:

In a small four man office, that big a flag  is ridiculous.  She's trying to stir up trouble, and she got it.

I have a 3x5 flag on the back of the door to my office.  Nobody has ever said a thing about it.

Of course, it is black with a skull and crossbones on it, which may serve to intimidate some.

That is not that large a Flag when trying to show you're patriotism. Sorry if you think so, I've seen 1 man cubicles that would not have been cluttered whith it hung vertically. Bottom line, they stepped on their PeePee, now their playing damage control. Bet they didn't expect her to fight back.
